Our Universe

Our own indigo sky, filled with infinite stars

And spiraling galaxies full of mystery;

With the never ending flame of a sun,

Because in the end, it was the losers that won.

We'll sail around each planet,

I'll carve your name into the moon;

You can be my anchor, bringing me back to Earth

And I'll be your wings, carrying your worth.

Can you hold my hand through the stratosphere?

And kiss me when we pass Andromeda;

Say you love me as we disappear into a black hole,

Dark like water; dark as coal.

My fingers fit perfectly inbetween yours,

So please, please don't let go as the comet goes by;

As I watch the sunset of one million eyes,

And drown out the sound of one million cries.

We can go out with a bang, sweetie,

Flames and blood and glory,

Exploding in noxious gases of a stars death;

With the words unspoken left on your breath.

One day we'll float back to home and go our seperate ways,

I'll wave and you'll nod; with tears in our eyes

But holding onto the memories of our universe,

Of our beautiful, terrible unbreakable curse.
