Chapter 34

*Atlanta*

~Langston

So me and Nia are in Atlanta, right now we're on our way to the hospital. I was debating on whether I wanted to bring Nia or not. But she insisted because she wanted to see if MiyMiy was okay. So I said she could come but she has to be good 'cause I know she has been waiting to see Druu so she can beat her ass. 

When we got there I asked for Druu Michaels, they gave us her room number, we got in the elevator.

Tania: "I hope they let us see the Amiyah"

Me: "Yeah me too. And I hope Druu explain what her purpose of doin' this was."

Tania: "Oh she will." She mumbled

Me: "Huh?" I asked lookin' at her

Tania: "Huh?" She asked lookin' at me

The elevator doors open and we walk to her room, when we got there Druu looked at Nia.

Druu: "What is she here fa?"

Tania: "Bit-"

Me: "Aye." I said lookin' at Nia. "We not gon' do this today, she here 'cause I want her to be."

When we walk up to her bed I see a sleeping Amiyah.

Me: "Hey Daddy's baby" I said caressing her hair

Tania: "Even through all this she's so peaceful." She said with her voice crackin' a little

We quietly pulled a couple chairs up to Druu's bed and I looked her.

Me: "What happened?"

She starts to tear up a little bit before talking.

Druu: "Umm we were arguin' because I wanted to go back to L.A and give you Amiyah *Sniffs* Because I need help." She whispered. "I didn't wanna do this, he made me do it. He wanted me to ask you for ten thousand dollars for drugs and if I didn't he would kill me and the baby. Since I didn't wanna ask for it he would beat me, dope me up, and rape me."

Tania: "Who's he?"

She looks down at her hands playin' wit' her fingers.

Druu: "Nick"

Tania: "Awe shit" She said throwin' her hands up

Druu: "Anyway we were arguin' about how I wanted to go back to L.A and how I wasn't gonna ask for the money. He got mad and smacked me.. He grabbed Amiyah and tried to leave but I stopped him." She sniffles and wipes her face.  "When I tried to stop him he shoved me across the room, dropped Miyah on the floor and started choking me... I scratched him and he got mad, pulled out his gun and aimed it at me. I tried to smack it out of his hand, we started fighting over it and boom he shot me. After that he basically left me for dead."

Me: "Damn Druu. I ain't know you was goin' through that. Why you ain't tell me?"

Druu: "'Cause I ain't thank you cared." Her voice croaked with every word

Me: "You're the mother of my child of course i'ma care."

Druu: "Well I know now."

Tania: "I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm not even gon' front my mindset comin' here was to beat yo' ass for putting Langston through so much. But now that I know you didn't do it  by choice, and that it was forced i'ma let up on you. But out of all people why Nick? I mean I don't fuck wit' you like that, but I could have even told you that this nigga had a drug issue."

I turned and looked at here, because she never told me Nick had a drug issue.

Druu: "I was trying to get you jealous, so you would leave Langston and go back to him. I didn't expect this to happen."

Tania: "Look where that got you. You were trying so hard to infuriate me because you're so wrapped up in a man that. Sorry not sorry, doesn't want to be with you. It's never that serious." She said shaking her head

Me: "Just so you know my lawyer is comin' with the papers givin' me full custody of Amiyah. Will you sign it?"

Druu: "Yeah that was the whole point in me callin' you over here. As long as I get to see her."

Me: "Of course i'm not gon' keep you from your daughter."

(Speeding up everything)

*8 o'clock that night*

So I officially have full custody of my baby girl. Bro! I can't even describe how happy I am to have my little girl in my arms, and the doctor said Amiyah was fine she didn't suffer no head trauma and nothing broke, so we got to take her back to the hotel.... That's my little angel she's the definition of strong. 

We had to go to the store to gte some baby formula, diapers, clothes, and a binky for Amyiah, but we just got to the hotel.

Me: "Babe can I ask you a question?" I asked sittin' on the bed layin' Amiyah down

Tania: "Yeah baby what's up?" She said goin' through her clothes

Me: "Is there some stuff you ain't tell me about your relationship wit' Nick?"

She stops what she's doin and looks at me.

Tania: "Ummm what makes you ask that?"

Me: "Earlier you said that you could've told Druu that Nick had a drug issue"

Tania: "Well ummm" She came and sat next to me "When it was our senior year of high school he started off with steroids to build his stamina so that he could get noticed and get a scholarship. I always tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't listen. Why I stayed with him? I don't know I guess I was blinded by what I thought was love."

I look down then look back up at her.

Tania: "I made him promise me that when he got the scholarship he would stop. So once he got the scholarship he did stop. But, come to find out he started doin' coke. I noticed that sometimes he would get a little physical with me, but it was never to the point where he would actually hit me. He would just snatch me up."

Me: "You never told me that"

Tania: "Well it wasn't somethin' that I felt needed to be spoke on. Especially since it wasn't so bad."

Me: "Well you know you ain't gotta worry about that wit' me right."

Tania: "Baby, I know I don't." She said sitting on my lap. "I love you so so much."

Me: "I love you more." I said giving her a kiss

Tania: "Alright i'ma give MiyMiy a bath. Come on baby girl." She said pickin' up Amiyah

I feel so thankful to have Tania in my life. I don't know what I would do without her. My family is almost complete. 

*Back in L.A*

Sooo this gon' be real quick. I told Chris what happened and of course he was mad, but I told him it would never happen again. Chris Is a really good guy and I wanna see where this goes. And I made it perfectly clear to Day that we will just co-parent.
