Picking on the food on my plate with the fork, I kept checking on Perrie every now and then. It felt as awkward as it did for her. But she needed as much rest as she could get till Jade was back. I couldn't just leave her alone up in her room.

The time ticked by fairly slowly, everyone staying on task outside as I peeked through the small window.

Looking at it now I guess the couch it the worst place to have a girl sleeping. But she looked comfortable and she said it was fine before she dozed off.

While I chewed on my food I heard a knock on my door. I quickly swallowed my food and cleared my throat, "Come in." I say.

The glass door opened and in came Lauren with a huge smile and I guess it was sort of a grin too, "Jauregi, what brings you here?" I chuckle.

"Seems like you got some cute company," she smirked, taking a seat across from me in front of my desk.

"Cute?" I ask, crossing my arms and leaning against the desk.

"Don't like to me Malik. I know it. She's cute ain't she?" she laughed.

I gave up and sighed, "Ok fine I admit. I find her cute. But it doesn't matter. She's in a relationship and she clearly loves Jade and Jade loves her nonetheless."

"I'm not saying that you too hook up and get married in the Bahamas," she chuckled, "but you've developed feelings for you haven't you? I can see it in the way you look at her." she explained.

I looked at my food and spun the pieces of chicken around the plate with the fork. She was right. I did like her. But I've learnt to spot it. I just hope that whatever I feel... she won't.

When she woke up it was around a half hour since Lauren came. Jade had just came back with Luke and headed upstairs.

Helping her I grabbed the blanket. She rubbed her forehead and quickly stretched out before standing up. I quickly grabbed her hand and helped her up before she could lose her balance.

"You ok?" I smile.

She nodded, "Thank you for letting me take over your couch. You have no idea how good I feel." she laughed.

"Well Jade and Luke just headed their way up to your room. You can leave when you want. I actually have to get going. Mom has officially set sone duties for me to fufill."

She laughed and tucked her hair behind her ear, "Thanks again." she smiled.
