Lien closed her eyes and began a failed attempt to calm herself down. The Vietnamese woman was planning on confessing to Mei about her feelings, and she couldn't keep a straight face even when practicing.

"Lien!" A tell-tale voice shouted, "Where are you? Let's go out to eat!" Lien sighed and hit her head against a wall, and then she ran down the stairs to come face-to-face with Mei, "Can we go out and eat?" Mei asked.

"Vâng." Lien replied nodding her head awkwardly.

"Great!" Mei's grin broadened, "I know the perfect place..." Lien slowly tuned out the Taiwanese woman's upbeat explanation about how awesome the breadsticks are. She allowed herself to be dragged into a jeep, she let Mei do the leading.

"We're here!" Mei shouted, breaking Lien out of her thoughts.

"Then let's go eat," Lien said, exiting the vehicle she was inside of. Mei followed her and soon the two had been seated and had ordered.

"I wonder how long it's going to take," Mei mused.

Lien shrugged, "However long it takes," She answered.

"Wow, Lien!" Mei gasped, sarcastically, "I would never have guessed that!" Lien was sure Mei would have continued had the food not arrived at that moment causing both girls to forget about what was being talked about in favor of the meal they had received.

After they finished eating, with little ways of small talk here and there, Lien reached her hand across the table and placed it over Mei's, her face going red.

"What's up, Lien?" Mei asked, as innocent as always.

"Mei, can I tell you something?" Lien asked and waited for Mei to nod reassuringly before she continued. "Anh yêu em," Lien confessed with the hopes that Mei understood.

"You...love me?" Mei asked, her face burning almost the same color as Lien's. Lien nodded and before she knew it she was on the ground with Mei peppering her face with kisses. "Gua Ai Li!" She cried. Lien was taken aback because when Mei spoke any form of Chinese it's always Madarin, as her brother, Yao, hates when she speaks Taiwanese.

"Want to go watch a movie?" Lien asked once Mei was done.

"Omegawd yes!" Mei laughed, "Suicide Squad!!" Lien chucked and led Mei to the car to drive off and watch said movie.
