The Skylords

Chapter Twenty

Noah sat in a dark room, the only light in the room was a candle in the corner. He sat on a wooden chair, his arms were held behind his back with a rope. Sitting in front of him, he could just see the outline of a skylord.

The skylord hadn't spoke for about ten minutes. Noah was getting frustrated now and he spoke for the first time, since he had been brought into this room. 'What do you want from me?' he demanded.

There was a silence for a moment, but finally the skylord spoke, 'where is it?' it asked softly. Noah tried to act like he didn't know what he was talking about, but it obviously didn't work. 'Where is what?' asked Noah.

There was a loud noise and Noah could see the skylord hitting sonething against the ground. 'Don't mess with me, stupid human!' he shouted. 'I know you have it we have been searching for you for a long time, so don't play stupid with me.'

The lights were turned on and Noah saw with surprise that skylord's lined the whole room, all of them were holding wands. 'Now, I will ask again' said the skylord sitting in front of him. 'Where is the potion?' Noah sat there for a minute wondering what to do, he couldn't tell them that he didn't have it or it would be all over, he needed to waste time.

'All right I'll tell you.......' he said looking up at the skylord and as he looked at him, he saw a ring on his finger. The leader.

Before Noah could continue, he heard a noise from outside the door. Every single skylord in the room turned their focus to the door in front of them.

The door was then burst open and standing at the frame was Jane and Sylvie and a group of people that Noah didn't recognise. They were all dressed in black.

They wasted no time and rushed in to the room knocking skylords down already. Noah recognised Tessa standing amongst them, he wondered how she was able to come, in such a time of danger.

Noah tried to cut the rope, but the knot was too strong. He tried to shout out to anyone who could help him, but he knew no one could get to him, with all the skylords blocking his path. He looked over at the leader and saw that the leader had turned his gaze to Noah.

Noah gave a jolt and when he looked back at the leader, he saw that the leader was running towards him. Noah struggled with the ropes but the leader had already made it to him. The skylord grabbed his arm as Noah struggled to get out of his grip.

The leader began to chant for a few moments and then he gripped his arm tighter and the two of them disappeared.
