Four Skylord's began to advance on them. Slowly, as if Jane and Sylvie had been snapped out of a trance they began to advance on the Skylord's. Neither of the two groups moved for a moment until almost all of a sudden one of the Skylord's shot something from it's wand, that was directed at Jane. It all happened so quickly, Jane shot an ice spark at the Skylord in the chest and he collapsed onto the ground in front of them.
As if pressing a play button the rest of the Skylord's began to shoot sparks at them. One narrowly missed Tessa as it flew past her head. She gasped and automatically jumped out of the spot she was standing in. She looked over at the rest, Arthur was dodging every shot thrown at him from a Skylord, who was directly in front of him. Tessa could see he was trying to get the right moment to strike and just then he got it. He threw a bolt of lightening right into the chest of the Skylord. The force was so strong that the Skylord was knocked a few feet backwards, until he fell and disappeared. How is his power so strong? thought Tessa as she compared his power to the others. She turned and saw to her surprise that three more Skylord's had vanished. Sylvie and Jane were battling the remaining three Skylord's and panicking she ran over to try and help. Sylvie shouted at her to stay away but she couldn't bring herself to do that.
She concentrated hard while dodging sparks but when she pointed her finger at a Skylord directly in front of her, nothing happened. She tried again and again, but there was no result. Arthur had now come over to help and he threw another lightening spark at the Skylord, Tessa had been aiming towards and the spark this time hit his leg. The Skylord clutched his leg but kept battling.
Anger shot through Tessa, why was she so useless? Without even realizing she was doing it, she pointed her finger at the Skylord that Jane had been battling. An ice particle struck him right in the chest and he dissapeared before he even touched the ground. Jane glanced over at Tessa in amazement, but Tessa could see that behind her the Skylord that Sylvie had been battling had turned to Jane. He shot a spark at her and Tessa shouted, 'look out!' Jane dodged out of the way just in time as the spark flew over her head.
The Skylord had now turned it's back on Sylvie. Sylvie made it look so easy and shot a gust of wind at the Skylord. He then ran over to where Arthur was battling the remaining Skylord and the two of them started shooting gusts of wind and lightening at the Skylord. Sure enough in about a minutes time a lightening bolt connected with the Skylord and he fell to the ground.
Tessa, Jane, Sylvie and Arthur stood panting for a couple moments in silence. It was Arthur who spoke first, 'we have to get out of here, before they come back' he said. The three nodded at him and they set off down the path.................
