i sat with amy and alfie in my lap, as i played with and cuddled them, smiling at their cuteness and softness.

my phone started ringing, reece's name popping up on the screen, and i put the phone down next to me, on speaker, so i could still fuss the puppies.

"hi, princess."

"hi, reece."

"so i spoke to my dad and he said he's sorry.."

"it's alright."

"and my parents want you to come over for dinner again, and you can stay over."

"um, thank you, but i can't stay over because of the puppies."

"you can bring them, if you like."

"are you sure? i don't want to cause a hassle."

"it's fine, princess. i'll pick you up at six."

"thank you."

"i love you."

"i love you, too." i smiled.

"see you later."

"bye bye."

i opened the front door and reece hugged me, kissing all over my cheek, and i giggled, moving my face so he was kissing my lips.

"bambi, louis." i called, pulling away and running upstairs to get the labradors.

"hello, sweetie. i'm so happy you're here." lyndsey smiled and hugged me, though i could only hug with one arm as i was holding the labradors in the other, and a lead with louis and Bambi on so that they couldn't run around.

"aw, they're such cuties!" lyndsey smiled, stroking the puppies in my arm, before fussing bambi and louis.

"hello." jamie smiled, and awkwardly half-hugged me.

"so reece can take you to his room, and the puppies can sleep in there, if you're alright with that?" lyndsey said.

"yes, thank you. that was my plan." i smiled, before following reece up the stairs to his room.

i took the leads off and placed all four dogs on reece's bed, fussing them so they'd feel at ease.

"hi, ella!" lexi shouted, running in and hugging me with a smile on her face.

"hey, lex." i giggled.

"can i stroke them?" she asked, noticing the puppies.

"yeah, just be gentle." i said softly, and reece came and stood behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, his fingertips tracing patterns on my stomach.

we were all sat back in the lounge, reece on my left with an arm around my shoulders, and lexi on my right, with an arm of mine around her shoulders.

"ella, i just want to apologise on behalf of the conversation you heard last time you were here. i think you're a lovely girl, and i don't mean what i said anymore, but, i was just looking out for reece. i didn't want his heart broken, as i can see how hard, and fast, he's fallen, and is falling for you." jamie said and i looked up to reece to see a small blush on his cheeks as a result of his father's latter words.

"it's alright." i smiled, and giggled at the cuteness of reece currently, and i held his cheeks.

"why're your hands so cold?" he whined.

"i'm cooling your face down. you're a bit red." i teased with a giggle, and he blushed a little more.
