i cuddled up to reece as he slept, his breathing slow but steady and his lips parted a little bit, the solid sound of his heart beat the only other thing i could hear, the side of my face on his chest.

in his sleep, reece's arms occasionally tightened or loosened around my waist, his wrists sometimes twitching.

i lay, unable to sleep, but content, snuggled into his warmth, as my fingertips traced shapes on his skin.

kissing his cheek gently, i got out of bed, seeing it was 01.34, making sure not to wake him, and i put on black, knee-high socks and didn't bother with shoes, grabbing my phone and keys and getting into my car, driving to the café and of course, ordering tea and sitting in my usual seat.

reece: princess come home, i can't sleep w/ out u

i read his text as my phone lit up, just as i was finishing my tea, and i stood up, ordering two tea's to go, and got back into my car, driving back home.

"i'm sorry." i mumbled, walking into my bedroom. "i brought you tea." i said, handing him one of the cups.

"thank you." he smiled, and i took off my socks before getting back into bed next to him, as the two of us sat, sipping on the yummy, hot liquid, my head rested on his shoulder, his arm around my back, his palm on my hip.

"goodnight." i mumbled, laying down in the position i was in before, my head on his chest again.

"night, princess." reece placed a kiss to the top of my head as i closed my eyes, managing to fall asleep this time.

"good morning." i smiled to blake, walking downstairs, where he was sat on a stool at the kitchen island.

"morning, you alright?"

"yeah."

blake's been staying at my house since he came out to his parents, except for one night when he stayed at george's.

"do you want me to talk to your parents? i'll try to get them to understand?" i offered.

"honestly, you don't have to do that. you've done so much for me, and you've got your own stuff to deal with." blake said.

"it's alright, i want to. you don't deserve your own parents disliking you just because of one tiny thing you can't, and shouldn't try to change. do you want to come with me?" i asked, sitting on the counter, reece plonking himself on the other stool.

"um, could i wait in the car or something?" blake suggested.

"of course, yeah." i smiled and picked up an apple, taking a bite as reece rested his head on my knee, his palm on my calf.

i knocked on blake's parents' house's front door, his mum opening it a moment later and greeting me with a surprised smile.

"hi, honey. are you alright?" she asked and i nodded.

"um, please may i talk to you about blake?"

"oh. come in, i'll get his father." she said, calling him as she motioned for me to take a seat in their living room, blake's parents now opposite me.

"um, so blake came out to you?" i asked and they nodded, their faces displaying disappointment.

"please don't look like that," i said softly. "it's not something he can change, and he shouldn't want to, and you shouldn't want him to. i know it might be difficult if you're new to the subject or you never expected it, but please support him. he's still the same son that you love dearly. he's still Blake, but he just is attracted to both genders. that shouldn't matter to you."

"oh." his mum gushed, a tear escaping. "my son, we should have never not supported him. we were just surprised. i..i'm so sorry." she rambled.

"it's not right." his dad mumbled, and i chose to ignore him, "but, he is my son. i support him."

"he's in my car, if you want him to come in?" i offered and they nodded.

"blake." i said softly, opening the car door, "go in." i said and his face lit up as he followed me.

"i'll leave you guys together. blake, you're welcome at mine anytime, you know that." i smiled, hugging him, before going back to the car and briefly explaining to reece, who'd waited in the car the whole time, what'd happened, as my phone buzzed.

blake: tysm, ella. you're a miracle worker

me: i'm glad you're all good x

"um, please could you drop me home, so i can explain to my dad about you..?" reece asked.

"oh, yeah." i said, doing so, before driving back to my house.
