Kyle POV
I lead Brianna out of the cafeteria and sat her down on a metal bench with layers of graffiti covering every inch of it,
"Bree. Are you ok?" I wrapped my arms around her and rocked her slowly, then golden quintessence started to spill over me. I jerked backwards in surprise, her eyes are a glassy white and cuts just started to appear like frost spreading over glass. They branched out and intertwined in a very confusing design, I could hear footsteps echoing from upstairs.
"Oh no." I picked her up in one fluid movement and rushed back to her jeep, I was running, her body was completely limp. I heard music blaring from a red car, there are two people rocking around in it. I really couldn't give a damn, I layed her down in the row of back seats. I grabbed the elemental emergency quit, yes there is such a thing, I grabbed a tube of amazing cream stuff and smeared it gently over her cuts. They instantly began to vanish I just continue to apply the cream. I had buzzing in my ears, suddenly her vision cleared and she sat up very fast.
"What? What am I doing here?" She looked around in confusion at the carpark, "Kyle what happened? We were in the cafe and then it's fuzzy." Then I heard the music stop and a car door open, then we were saved by the bell, it shrilled and a buzz of voices suddenly filled the air. Bree got up and jumped out the soft top roof and landed skilfully outside the car. I pulled her back in and I took out my schedule,
"I have another free period." I said as she ran her hands through my hair.
"Me too." She smiled, I gave her a look of confusion,
"No one can memorise their schedule that fast." She laughed,
"I don't need to." She past her hand in the space between us and the air rippled like water and an image of a schedule appeared.
"How did you do that?" I put my hand through it, it was like sticking your hand out a fast car window.
"I'm not sure but I can picture something and make it appear, like this." The schedule disintegrated as she turned away to look around, by now everyone was gone. She raised one hand and with the other she seemed to sculpt something invisible, her fingers twisted and turned. Then finally a little cat the size of her foot appeared on the seat of the jeep, it walked along the edge of the seat then jumped onto the floor. I bent down and picked it up, imagine a hurricane. Now imagine you holding the tight turning wind, but they it didn't hurt you. It's just the feeling of the spinning, it felt a lot like that. Blue see-through strips lined it and even its little eyes blinked. It had been a long time since I've laid eyes on an air elemental so this kind of magic was new to me, it was unique and beautiful. Just like Brianna Black.
Bryce POV
After lunch Grace and I walked out the kitchen door,
"Hey do you want to do something fun. Don't worry it's nothing sexual it's just something I do." I looked up at her and I could see the concern in her eyes but then she smiled she nodded her eyes,
"Come on." I ran up and jumped over the high fence, she smiled and ran. She cleared it easily, "Wow, you do this kind of thing." She pursued her lips,
"Well, I've done that kind of free running thing for years." She looked up at me with her beautiful bright blue eyes, a string of shiny black hair crossed over her eyes.
"Ok just follow." She smiled and I began to run steadily, she was a step in front of me so I speed up a little. We ran through alleys until we reached a thick gutter running up the side of a apartment building, I grabbed the drain pipe and started climbing. I looked down to see Grace right behind me. I moved to the sid and did a muscle up and swung myself over the roof, I looked down and Grace wasn't there. I hired a little laugh and found Grace sitting there perfectly on the side of the roof with her legs swinging instantly over the edge.
"Don't play innocent with me Grace." She put her neck back and laughed, "Come on we're close." She stood up and over to me I got up and started to run, I picked up speed at the edge of the building. I jumped and bent my legs as I hit the other shorter roof of the building, Grace landed elegantly next to me. I swung over the edge and slid down the the brick wall of the building, I have these metallic hand covers that I always put on before doing stunts like these. I landed carefully and took a step back in astonishment, Grace the little, perfect, innocent, hot girl was already down without a scratch or anything.
"Oh Grace what are you?" I shook my head as she smiled but I couldn't help but wrap my arm around her, I could feel her steady heartbeat and I ran my arms over her soft pale arms.
"So where are we going?" She whispered,
"Come on." I stepped back and took her smooth small hands, we emerged onto a busy street. Cars flashed by and people hurried to cross roads, I lead her through the crowd then I turned right down another alley. We walked all the way till we reached a small bright ally café, the bell jingled as we walked in,
"Hello Bryce. It's been a while." A tall sort of good looking teen boy called out from behind the counter.
"Hey Dom. Has Matt been hear this week?" Dom walked out from the bar and came to talk to us.
"Yes he has, but more importantly how is your lady friend." He gave Grace a look meaning to say, 'I can show you a good time'.
"Hi I'm Grace." She looked completely unimpressed, that made me smile.
