Brianna POV
A loud shrill beeping woke me up from my revery of endless darkness, a horrible pounding, throbbing headache made me grown. I blinked about three hundred times to clear my vision, I could see horrible big tacky posters hanging on the pall gray wall. I groaned in pain as I moved my head to one side, there was this eerie shrill beep in my head that made me wanna pass out or throw up. I put my hand up to my forehead and touched a surprisingly soft but kinda sticky bandage. A gentle knock on the door drew my attention away from my injury and immediately onto the gorgeous person entering my, my, hospital room? Yes of course! The accident, my faulty shield. The rush of memory made my head pound and my vision start to swim,
"Hi." a soft voice said gently, Alaya drew up a chair next to my bed. "How are you?" She rubbed my arm gently.
"I've been better." I grumbled sleepily, I'm exhausted it seems like even the simple movements like moving my arm caused a surge of pain and fatigue.
"Don't worry they let you out in an hour. Irey on the other side," She didn't finish her sentence.
"Is he, ok?" I closed my eyes, not wanting to see her face. She was young, too young for this life.
"He'll be fine. but it's doubtful he'll ever walk." She said direly, I could feel her ora strengthen. "By the way happy birthday."
Kyle POV
The supermarket isn't very crowded, but I still couldn't walk through an aisle without someone turning and staring. My back pocket buzzed as my phone chimed, I sighed and closed my eyes in worry since Bree hadn't woken up yet. My phone buzzed again, this time I picked up, Alaya.
"Hi! She's up and walking!" A very loud and shrill voice yelled in my ear.
"She is?! Oh my god, finally!" I laid my head back on my shoulders, I sighed but this time in ralife. "Ok, I'm on my way but first I'm bringing over some food. I've never seen our fridge so empty!" She laughed.
"Hey wanna talk to her?" I hired a small crackle and then the most perfect voice on earth flooded into my ear,
"Hey." She whispered, that single word light up my world my heart was in knots.
"Hey." My voice came out strained and hushed, her laugh was light and happy.
"I'm actually on my way out with Dem and Alaya. I'm on my way to my jeep, I'll see you at home. I love you." I could hear the sound of traffic and Dem screaming something about a car.
"I love you too. See you soon." A long beep signalled that the call ended. I smiled as I continued trough the ills, having a house of teen boy's mean's we go through a lot of food. I grabbed twelve bottles of milk and six bags of flour.
"Wow man. Are you feeding a mob of starving hobos." I turned to see Felix leaning on a white column smocking and holding a bottle of beer.
"No. But having all of us in one house, witch mean's we go through a lot of food." I don't like how he look's at me, as if he's saying 'Beat it'.
"Is she yours? I think we can share her." he took a swig of his beer.
"Are you always an ass hole?" I snarled, I don't like how he's talking about Bree.
"No. I take what I want, so you can hand her over nicely. Or I take her, violently." he took a great inhale of his cigarette and blew it out in my face. I pushed passes him fighting the erg to turn and kick him.
I finished shopping and I was lauding my trucks worth of food into the blue van when Matt suddenly appeared.
"Hey man what's up." He grinned and grabbed a bag placing it into the van. "Dude cool van!"
"You know Felix is an ass." I don't look at him.
"Yeah. He really is. Its a wolf thing to keep an ass hole to keep thing interesting." He laughed harshly.
"Oh I almost forgot your one of us. Come back to the stronghold with me. Bree and Irey are out the hospital!" I slammed shut the van doors.
"I hured, how's Irey?" He climbed into the passenger seat.
"He's a good friend of Bree's." I swung out the parking lot when my phone rang again. "Hello."
"Hey you coming dude? She's home and in the shower." I cut Dem off.
"Not now Dem! I'm in my way and I'm with Matt." There was a short silence then Dem spook,
"Hey Matt! Are you guys being safe?" He laughed.
"Dem I'm not gay and when you said Bree's in the shower I started to dream." Matt said sarcastically. I coughed here Dem laughing,
"Dude step on it and you might catch her before she's out." I can hear Gray shouting at Freya about her and her responsibility.
"I'm pulling into the driveway!" I jumped out the car and hung up.
"I'll unload. You go." Matt laughed.
"I owe you one!" I yelled from over my shoulder. I pushed open the door and ran up the white marble staircase I pealed my shirt off and through it on our floor.
"Hey." She smiled will drying her hair, she was wearing leggings and a loose t-shirt.
I crossed the room and threw my arms around her slightly damp body, I breathed in her sweet smelling hair.
"Oh thanks. I was so scared." I tightened my hold on her.
"Don't ever scare me like that again." A small switch flicked in my brain, was I scared for her, or did I just "want her". Doit surged threw my brain.
