He was down on one knee...
"Hang on let me try my shoe really quick..." He tied it and then looked back into my
eyes. He pulled out the most beautiful ring ever!! It was a little silver skinny ring and
across the top was a row of little diamonds. I was speechless, what was I suppose to
say. I literally just turned 18 a few months go!But, of course I knew what I wanted to
say...
Yes of course...
"Yes" I said as I smiled, I started saying and I wiped away the tears as he put the ring
on my finger and got back up and kissed me.
Now, I was not only a teenage girl right out of high school, but I had also lost my
virginity to my best friend and was engaged. Wow. Time goes by so fast. I have to hold
back the tears it's happening so fast. I was smiling. I'm engaged to my best friend...
I'm. Engaged.to. My. Best. Friend.
He hugged me for what seemed to be forever...
I was so happy and so was he. We were going to be together forever. We walked back to
the party together, we had been gone for I think almost an hour now and I bet cortney
was wondering where we went. When we got back we realized that we had been gone
an hour and that it was now 10 minutes till midnight, we had been gone quite some
time.
"Hey what happened to you two?!" Ryan said as soon as he saw us.
Ryan and Christian started talking for a minute and while they were talking Cortney got
a glimpse of my hand and as soon as she figured out what it was she playfully slapped
my arm.
" heather...!?"
"Mhmm" I knew what was coming.
"Come to the bathroom with me so I can fix my hair"
Me and Cortney walked to the bathroom together, we were smiling the whole way
there.
"So Mrs. Christian, tell me everything" she said.
I couldn't help but laugh just a little bit at what she called me but I explained.
" He walked me down to the beach to get a way for a bit and once we got a ways away,
we stopped and we hugged for a long time, it was so perfect and we started talking
about what we were going to do now that we were out of high school and I told him
about deciding to go to college and he told me the tigers wanted to sign him onto
their team and that he was going to have to leave for a while of he accepted and he
didn't want to leave me and before I knew it he was down on one knee and I said yes
and now I engaged!" I spilled out.
" awe!" She hugged me and congratulated me. "When are you guys getting married,
just wondering" she said with the most hilarious curious face.
"Oh I don't yet, it's not like we talked about it"
" ok well enough of me pestering ya, les get back to partyinggg!!" She said as she
walked out of the bathroom like a freak. I laughed, she turned around and slapped me
playfully again, I was still soling trying to hold back another laugh for sake of my arm.
When we got back out apparently the boys wanted to leave, so we left, Cortney,
Rachel, me, Christian, Ryan and Alex. We ended up going out to the only place that
was still open for dinner, Rico's Mexican buffet.
