Chapter Thirteen

I yawn as I wake up. My bones crack uncomfortably as I realised I fell asleep on the couch. Inder wouldn't be able to move from the position he was in. I looked towards Desmond and Abigail. I was surprised Abigail had even stayed here with us!

I crack lots as I move over to Abigail. I tilt Desmond's head as I move to her. I carefully tap her, even though she looked so peaceful and I didn't want to wake her up. "Abby, Abby, baby-cakes, wake up." I whisper. She stirs slightly and opens her eyes. "Luna, Peri..." She mumbles before closing her eyes adorably. I slowly lift her, hearing her legs crack. She surely hasn't shifted yet. I feel a pair of eyes staring at me. I turn around.

It's Inder. "You'd be amazing with our pups, you know Peri-" His eyes bulge as he gets up, cracking all over. He howls in pain and his eyes are yellow. His canines are poking through. Abigail stirs in my arms, pushing her head into my stomach.

"Shit, now look what's happened." He exclaimed, his voice deeper by the octave. He breathing very roughly, like sound effects even though it's not fake. "Language Alpha!" I whisper-yell pointing at Abigail. His cheeks flush pink on his pale white skin. I laugh.

Desmond's eyes open. "What's going on?" He asks. I shrug. "You haven't missed anything- No! Don't get up!" I squeal. He stops nodding, knowing the reason. "Get up slowly." I command. He rises carefully. "Well done." All eyes are on me even Abigail's in Desmond's arms but I feel that she would have been staring as well. "What are you guys staring that?!" I demand.

"What- how- is that possible!?" Inder mutters to himself even though everyone can hear. He looks me dead in the eye. "Look down at yourself Peri." I roll my eyes and look down. My eyes bulge. The air is sucked out of me.

I wasn't touching the fall. "Oh my god..." Inder looked at me. "Yes, Peri, you can levitate." I drop to the floor landing on my feet. "Oh my god..." I repeat. I'm back in the air with an essence surrounding me. It was glowing like dust.

Yes, Peridot, the time has come for you to take your rightful place.
