Chapter Twenty Five

Three Years Later

I looked down at Carter and Duke drawing on a piece of paper together. It was so cute to see them together. Inder was at his Alpha Duties but he said to come back soon. I'm glad Damon hasn't been around for the last three years. My kids have grown up fine and well except for some problems with Carter. You cant really say Carter's been OK because that would be lying. In a few weeks I'd be twenty. I'd be properly a Luna of this pack. And 25 more. Our little secret about being the last of the Shaded Pack got out. All 25 of the strongest packs from every side of the world, 25 from Africa etc. are all coming here. For us to be the Luna and Alpha. I mean this is amazing because five years ago I would never think I'd be doing this.

Inder wrapped his arms and hugged me from behind. Clio began to hug his legs. I bent down to re plait her hair. Clio had such long hair for a three year old. It drifted all the way down her back and just a little bit of it trailed along on the ground. I decided to put a pony tail on the top of her head. Cyrus was screaming at Carter. ''MOMMY!'' Carter screamed. Cyrus took the Lego man out of Carter's hands. Cyrus smiled evilly at Carter. Carter picked himself up to get to Cyrus. Cyrus backed up baring his teeth. Cyrus's wolf instinct came so naturally. Carter threw himself on the ground screaming and crying. He started to shake violently. Inder knew how to take care of this.

He pinned Carter to the ground, holding his fingers. Carter was still convulsing but now he was in tonic mode, with his bottom half lifted up. I quickly got the injection and injected Carter right in the bum. ''There you go baby, hush now.'' I murmured in Carter's ear. Cyrus handed Carter the Lego man. He looked upset. He looked towards me with pleading eyes. ''Cy, there's more Lego in the box! Why don't you build Mommy a big castle?'' I chirped in third person. Clio was holding her Barbie singing to herself. Wow, was Clio a good singer. She would go far in the music career. Duke was trotting around, bare foot. He climbed on to the bed, proudly holding a badge that belonged to Inder.

''Ducky, careful with there!' Inder exclaimed. Duke didn't say anything. He began to jump on the bed. ''High! High!'' He screamed, laughing. Inder scooped him from the bed, putting him on his shoulders. ''There you go, Duck, hold onto my shoulders.'' I was really impressed with Inder's love towards them. He seemed to love them all so much. Even Carter with his convulsing and breathing problem. My alarm went off. 12:30. I had alarms to make sure they got everything on time. Hopefully Sophia had made everything. ''Dinner time!'' I announced. Cyrus stumbled to Inder. He sat on his foot and wrapped his arms around Inder's calf. That child. He always anted to do that. Fortunately, Inder had mastered how to do it. I picked Carter up and put him on my hip. I then held Clio's tiny hand. We began to walk downstairs. I did want four children. But I didn't expect to have them all at the same time.

I settled Carter down on the chair. I did the same with Clio, Duke and Cyrus. Sophia set the food down. It was baked beans, chips and fish fingers. They all tucked in. Inder helped himself to my plate. He looked down on his watch. ''Peri, I got to go!'' He sped off. ''Mommy, where's Daddy goin'?'' Clio asked. ''Baby, Daddy's going to work, after you can play with his wolf, is that a good idea?'' She nodded. I think I've done well with my first litter. Duke had finished his plate. ''Finish!'' He mumbled to himself. Of course I heard. I watch Carter pick up a chip. He shoves it in his mouth. Then he does that with a bean. I serve Duke with chocolate ice cream. Clio finishes. I put down chocolate ice cream. Cyrus is done. I hand him some as well. Carter finishes last. I give him the ice cream.

Five minutes later, all of them are finished. I pick up Clio, Carter and Cyrus hold my hands and Duke walks in front, like a penguin. He leads us outside. ''Wolfy! Wolfy! Mommy!'' He shouts. I put them down and shift. Seconds later, I'm in my white wolf. I see a black wolf come towards me. Inder. I feel Carter and Clio climb on top of me. I watch as Inder bends down so Duke and Cyrus can get on him. Meet you at the border line! I say through the mind link. Inder is off like a bullet. I hear the sounds of Duke and Cyrus's laughter. I run equally as fast, catching up to him. I feel the elements and power come towards me as I pick up my speed. The border line is about an hour away in the speed were going in. Our pack owns a large space. We can cross the border line because the Moonlight Pack has joined with ours already. I keep going. Carter's giggles ring through my ears. I give a wolfy grin. Inder catches up with me. His yellow eyes are wide and filled with joy. The only reason he got given yellow eyes was because he was made of black magic, but he used his powers for the right thing.

I levitated off the ground. ''FLYING! MOMMY'S FLYING!'' I begin to run the same way I did, but in the air. I go higher and higher until I can see from a plane's point of view. I mastered another power which allows me to see things with out being there. I use that power to look at Clio. Her mouth is wide in shock. Carter looks so different. Almost older, wiser. He has his eyes closed with a peaceful look on his face. I run again, as if going round a bend so we are even higher. Inder is up there with me, looking down as well. I begin to swirl back down. Inder copies my movement. It was beautiful up there.

I reached the ground and began to keep running to the border. I finally reached it. Inder was already heading back. It was getting late. How long had we been out for? I ran to the pack house hoping to get there within two hours.

I tucked Carter into his bed. I did the same to Duke, Clio and Cyrus, kissing them on their heads. Duke had his eyes wide open. I kissed my fingers and shut his eyes for him. ''Goodnight Ducky. sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.'' Carter moved around. I smiled. I changed into my Minnie Mouse pyjama dress before crawling into bed with Inder. Inder turned around, eyes still closed. His arms wrapped around my body, generating heat. He tucked my head into the crook of his neck. I breathed in his scent. I felt him kiss the top of my head. I cuddled his waist before closing my eyes to sleep.
