"It's nice from the outside." I commented as we came to a stop in front of a a building I've passed many times but never payed attention to.
"It's nice from the inside too." Tyson grinned and got off the motorcycle.
I did the same and followed him inside.
"I already have the first month payed for." He told me when we got into the elevator.
"That's great! Good start."
"My mom wasn't happy about me leaving."
"Understandable."
"You know she came to visit me in jail?"
"Oh?"
"A few times. And then one day she came to tell me she wouldn't be able to come visit for a while. That they were moving."
"That must've been hard."
"It wasn't, really. It sucked when I realised I'd have to live with them at their new place once I got out."
"Didn't you want to leave?"
"Well yeah, but I'd be like a guest. A guest in my own house with my own family."
"Well that shouldn't be a problem anymore."
"Ready to see it?" He asked as we stepped out.
I nodded excitedly and he lead me to the door of apartment 12-CD.
"It's not completely furnished yet, so there's a lot of empty space."
And with that, he turned the key and opened the door.
We stepped inside and I looked around.
In all honesty, I was shocked.
It was a really nice place.
"This is... Amazing!" I exclaimed, looking around in awe.
"You really think so?"
"Yes! And— oh my god the window!" I walked over to the balcony that overlooked the city.
"Pretty nice view, huh?" He grinned.
"It's beautiful!" I took my phone out and snapped a picture.
"This wouldn't have happened without you."
"Oh please. You would've gotten the money somehow."
"By robbing someone, maybe"
I stared at him.
"Kidding."
"You need to stop doing that." I laughed.
"No can do, sweetheart."
Sweetheart.
"Can I see your room?" I asked.
"Sure." He walked around the corner and opened a door.
It was a small room, but definitely more than enough for one person.
"Are you gunna decorate?"
He laughed.
"No. Im content with how it is."
