When I woke up, it took me a second to realise where I was.

I shot up and looked around.

The first thing I saw were my leggings and blouse a couple feet away.

I looked down at myself and saw that I only had my bra and underwear on.

"Oh no."

And then it all came back to me.

Tyson and I...

"Tyson?" I said aloud, and I got a response.

"Yeah?" He came into the room.

He didn't have a shirt on, but everything else was covered.

"We just..."

He nodded.

"Oh good lord."

"You okay?"

"We.. Just, give me a second." He nods and turns away.

I quickly got my clothes back on and took a look in the mirror.

I was a mess. A hot mess, but a mess.

"When did you wake up?"

"10 minutes before you did."

"Oh."

"Are you okay?" He asked me again.

"Tyson. We just.. Did that. I just cheated on Liam. Your brother. Oh god." I looked away and bit my tongue.

"Would you take it back?"

"What?"

"What we just did. Would you take it back?"

"We slept together. I cheated. Yes, I would take it back!"

"Really?" He looked down.

After a a minute of thinking about it, I realised that wasn't my answer.

"No." I whispered, and he looked at me.

"No. I wouldn't take it back." I said, and he gave me a small smile.

"Me neither."

"But it can't happen again." It hurt me to say it.

He frowned.

"Why not?"

"Because I'm with Liam."

"You're gunna stay with him?" He looked shocked, confused, and angry.

"Yes."

"Why? You're not even happy with him!"

"Even if I broke up with him, for good this time, we couldn't be together."

"Why's that?"

"Because my parents—"

"Fuck your parents! They've already deprived you of an actual life and you're still sticking up for them?" He cut me off.

"Do not talk about my parents like that. Just because you don't care about your family doesn't mean I feel the same way!" I yelled.

"Maybe I was wrong."

"About what?"

"About you."

"Excuse me?"

"I thought you were different."

"I am."

"You're not. You still do everything they tell you to, you still don't stick up for yourself, you're choosing to stay with the guy you cheated on."

It hurt. It hurt really bad, to hear him say it out loud. I hated that it hurt.

"So what do you suppose I do? Run away? Live here with you? Give up what so many people crave? Do you know how selfish that is?"

"I don't see what's so selfish about wanting to be happy."

"And what if I wasn't happy with you? Where would I go? Back to my parents who would've disowned me by then?"

His breathing slowed, he calmed himself down.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"For what?"

"For trying to force you into something you don't want." He looked sad.

All my anger immediately melted away and I stepped closer to him.

"I want you, Tyson. I really, really, do."

"Then why can't you be with me?"

"It would be too hard."

"We would get through it."

"It's not that simple. My parents would be furious. Not to mention the Wrights."

"Why?"

"They basically have our wedding planned out! They really believe we'll be together forever. Why wouldn't they? We're perfect for each other! But the thing is, Liam's not perfect for me. But of course, they don't see that."

"I can't believe you've had to live like this."

"I never realised how bad my life sucked before I met you."

He chuckled and shook his head.

"I never knew what I was missing out on before I met you."

"So what are we gunna do?"

"What if you broke up with Liam but weren't with me?"

"What?"

"What if you were single?"

"I don't understand."

"What if you explain to your parents you weren't happy with Liam?"

"They might understand. They wouldn't be happy, but they'd understand."

"Great! So you break up with him and explain to them why. And then we can be together in secret."

"Maybe you are Shakespeare."

"How do you mean?"

"This is like a rewrite of Romeo&Juliet."

"So you'll do it?"

I nod.

"I think it could work."

He smiled.

"It's a big world. We could go places together and not have to hide."

"But for how long?"

"However long we need."

"Before we do anything, I have to break up with Liam."

"Okay. Take your time."

"Give me a week."

He gaped.

"I was thinking a day."

"Times that by 7. Trust me this won't be easy."

"Okay, okay. I'll wait."

"Good."

"You know that was my first time since getting out?" He said, and I blushed.

"Oh."

"Definitely worth the wait." He whispered in my ear.

"Okay save the sex talk for when I'm single."

"Will do."

"So we're really doing this?"

"Yes, yes we are."
