I opened my eyes and looked around. Shimmer was watching me carefully, trying to see if it had worked. I sighed and gave my head a shake. It had been five months since my trainer died. Or more accurately, killed. With her death seemed to come the death of something inside of me, my foresight. Visions of the future no longer pushed against my eyelids. My strongest move, Future Sight, was rendered useless.

Shimmer sighed. "I see the future where you get it back, but its very faint. I thought bringing you to the Moondrop Tree would help you but...," she trailed off.

"Its fine. I'll get it back someday," I said determinedly. "Until then, we go on. All the Gardevoir and Gallade will be at the Gathering, and I don't want to be the last one there."

"OK, OK bossypants. Let's go." Shimmer said, then drifted along the way we Gardevoir do. She looked back at me when she saw I wasn't moving. "Come on, I thought you didn't want us to be the last ones," she spoke.

"Alright geez I'm coming, I'm coming," I replied, using Psychic to levitate above the ground and move toward her. I hate walking through the grass in any valley. It makes me feel like I'm causing a disturbance through active life forms. I don't know, I guess I'm weird like that.

Shimmer and I walked on for days and days, the sun beating resentlessly on our backs. A few other Gardevoir joined us, heading for the same place, but it was mostly just us. Just Shimmer and I.

After a silent day of walking down a human-made road, I finally asked the obvious question I should have asked before.

"How do you even know where were going?" I asked, suddenly worried.

"I don't know how I know I just do. There is something inside of me, pulling me. A natural sense that we all must have." She stopped to look at me. "Don't you?"

Then I realized I did. Even though I had never been to the Gathering before, I knew which road to take, which fork in the road next. I don't know why, but suddenly the path we were on looked brighter too. Like the life here was just.........calling me. The branches on each tree seemed to point down the correct road. The flowers seemed to be leaning more to the left. Even the sun made the road look brighter than it should have been.

Shimmer took a step back. "I can see that you can feel it as well now. Lead the way please," she said, sounding more serious than she ever has before. I simply nodded and led us down the road and many others. Continuing the search for this all-important Gathering we had to attend, barley taking a moment to rest.

Then one night we found it. Shimmer saw them first as we climbed the last hill in our journey, catching a glimpse of the sharp blades and the flowing gowns. The moon somehow illuminated the clearing, giving it an indigo glow.

"This is it!" she cried. "This is it, our final destination. Stella, I give you, the Moon Gathering!" she announced dramatically. I didn't respond. I couldn't respond. There were so many of them, dancing, and laughing. Some were picking flowers. I laughed as I watched a few Gallade try to impress some of the other Gardevoir.

"Ugh you are so annoying, stop watching and let's go!" Shimmer said, dragging me with her as she ran down the hill. When we arrived at the base she looked back at me as I uncertainly studied the other pokemon. She smirked.

"Stella, you will go and speak to these pokemon and you will do it with out me," she said firmly, planting her feet firmly on the ground.

My eyes widened into fear. "No you can't do that please!" I begged her desperately. But she just shook her head.

"I will find you when is Gathering is over. Until then go have fun! Mix! Mingle! Find that special someone," she said with a wink and a nudge. She then disappeared in a flash of violet light.

"She did not just use Teleport on me," I groaned. I turned and surveyed my surroundings.

To my right, a group of partying Gallade. That was a no. To my left, a group of gossiping Gardevoir. That was a no as well. Behind me was a lone Gallade, studying a sharp indigo flower. My best option so far. I slowly drifted over to him.

I cleared my throat to get his attention. "Hello my name is Stella," I said, introducing myself.

He blinked slowly. "My name is Blade. And I'm here to heal my trainer and find my lost love," he stated simply. Before I could ask him what he meant, a gong sounded through the valley. I breathed in deeply. The Moon Gathering had begun.
