----------------------
Farkle's POV:

After Charlie showed up yesterday, Lucas and his friends told me more stuff about Riley. For a while, I wasn't buying it. But then everything started to make sense. Lucas told me why she ignored me for such a long time. He said that she overheard one of my conversations with him.
One time I came over to talk to him while they were dating. I think it was the most nervous I'd ever been in my life. I sat down with him a straight up told him that I loved Riley. At the time, I wasn't even sure if I did. I was an eighth grade mess who had liked the same two girls all my life, until one of them got into a serious relationship. I also should have thought that through, because when I told Lucas, it was the worse I had ever seen him. He screamed at me and told me to get out and that he couldn't believe I'd "do this" to his and Riley's relationship. Apparently after that Riley and him discussed that in order for their relationship to work, they couldn't have any "threats". I never thought of feelings as a threat. But I've learned a lot. And feelings are definitely a dangerous thing.

After they finished their story I stormed out, pretty upset that Riley would ever push my feelings aside like that. Riley? She's unbelievable. I know things have changed since then, but I can't believe how inconsiderate she was. She knew I always had feelings for her and she just decided to ignore me for two years because of a relationship she thought she should be in. She didn't speak to me for months, and when she did it was just a "hi" in the hallway. I was nothing to her. And now, that's what she should be to me.

It's first period with Mr. Matthews and I'm sitting on my desk, talking to the guys. Maya walks in, with Riley behind her. Riley has puffy eyes and I so badly want to ask her what's wrong, but I know I shouldn't. I turn back to Lucas.
Maya walks up to me and grabs my shirt and pulls me to face to face with her.
"Whatever you're doing with Lucas or whatever Missy's talking about, snap out of it." She lets go, shoving me back a bit, and plops down in her seat.
"Farkle, can I talk to you?" I turn and see Riley with big puppy eyes.
"What's there to talk about?" I ask. Before she can answer, Charlie pats me on the back and says,
"You know what she's talking about." He winks at her and I desperately want to punch him the face, but again, I know I shouldn't. She completely ignores him and keeps her attention on me.
"Seriously Farkle? What's there to talk about? Whatever Lucas said to suddenly make you a bastard forget it!" She raises her voice. The whole class turns their heads in our direction and the focus is on us.
I stand up, meeting her face to face.
"Oh, you mean like the fact that you didn't say a word to me for TWO YEARS because you found it how I felt about you?!" Her jaw drops she looks at my sympathetically.
"Farkle I-"
"No. No! You don't get to talk to me. You probably like it better that way anyway, right? Don't try to change my mind, because I know it's true. Everything that you ever did to me was because you knew how I felt, you knew!" I scream. She steps back and looks like she's about to cry.
"Farkle, I didn't know-" she starts to whisper.
"Yes you did! I don't need your pity, okay? I'm not your charity case." Maya stands up, but Riley pushes her back down.
"You know what? I'm going to talk and you're going to listen. I don't need you to start problems because of some story that ass over there told you!" She motions to Lucas, who shakes his head. She walks over to Gardner, "And I certainly don't need you, Charlie, to come back to create a bigger mess. I didn't give you permission to screw up my friendships." She moves back to me,  "And if you, for one second thought that I would ever, ever be so cruel to put your feelings aside, than you were never really my friend at all."
She sits down in her seat and stares forward, not making another sound.
"Now Riley," Lucas begins,"cut the guy some slack. All he ever did was treat you right and what did you do? Ignore him." She pushes her desk forward and turns to him, with angry tears falling from her eyes.
"YOU DID THIS! ALL OF IT IS YOUR FAULT! EVERYTHING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO YOU OR ME, FARKLE OR MAYA WAS BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU COMPLETE ASSHOLE!" She yells, running up to him and pushing him back.
"Now this isn't the Riley I know. What's gotten into you, hun?" He asks, smirking. "Besides me." He adds. All the guys laugh but me.
"Oh, so this is funny to you? How 'bout we tell everyone what really happened? How about just for once I get to be the bad guy instead of the innocent girl, huh?" She backs up and walks to the front of the class.
"Riley, be careful-" Maya starts.
"I know what I'm doing!" Riley yells at her.
Maya stands up and walks over to her.
"Riley, you're just frustrated because of your parents. Don't make this worse." Maya says, grabbing Riley's hands.
Riley sharply pulls her hands away.
"So everyone, want to know the truth? Lucas Friar, over here, takes his pent up confusion about his parents out on girls. And girls, if you think you're the only one he's slept with, ask around. You'll hate the answers you get. And Farkle Minkus, Lucas ignored him because, what I just found out, he was afraid. Yeah, afraid that he would lose me because of Farkle. Well guess what Lucas? You lost me! You're worst dreams have come true because of none other than yourself. And as for me, I didn't talk to Farkle because..." She pauses. Why didn't she talk to me? If it's not what I thought than I'm going to need one hell of an explanation. I look around the classroom and see Lucas with a pained expression on his face.
"Oh my God.." She glances at Maya, who's biting her lip. More tears falls from Riley's eyes.
"I didn't take to Farkle because Maya Hart told me-"
"Riley!" We all turn our heads to the doorway. Mr. Matthews is standing with an unreadable expression on his face.
"What are you doing?" He asks. Riley looks at Maya who's has the most guilty look on her face that I've ever seen.
"Apparently something I should've done a long time ago." She walks over to me and grabs Lucas' hand and walks out, nudging into Maya's shoulder on the way out. We all turn to Maya, but she's only looking at me, staring me straight in the eyes with a look that can only say 'it's all my fault'.
