"Ah!" I scream as a sudden impact to my side jerks me awake from my deep slumber. Looking up, I see my mother's Fletchling circling the air. Having completed it's task, Fletchling flies back downstairs to the living room to rejoin my mom. Not that this is the first time she has done this, but it still isn't how I want to be woke up. It really isn't that big of a deal though. I get out of bed and stretch my arms out wide. My mother and I had spent all of yesterday moving into our new place in the Kalos Region, and I was exhausted by the end of it. Don't most people have Machokes or some other lifting Pokémon do that stuff? The Kalos region probably does have its differences from Johto though.
I take a look around my room once again, admiring the large space I was blessed with. I can't believe we managed to get such an amazing two bedroom house in this tiny town called Vaniville. Mom didn't want to have a room on the second floor, so I was glad to take it. My room is the only one on the second story, resulting in a bigger room. In the corner of the room closest to the stairs, I've set up my dark blue desk. On top of it rests the laptop my dad got me and all the books I own. Across from the desk lies my bed in the opposite corner. The room would feel empty if it weren't for my giant TV on the wall next to my bed and my Wii U sitting in the middle of the room. The rest of the walls in the room are mostly closet and cabinet space for my clothes and what not.
I walk over to my closet and take out some clothes for the day. Mom had said she wanted me to go out and get a feel for the new area. I chose my favorite clothes I have at the moment and put them on. Once finished, I walk back over to my full body mirror resting next to my TV. My reflection shows a tall white male with long black hair and bright blue eyes wearing a red outdoors cap, a blue zipped jacket, blue skinny jeans, and a pair of black short boots. I place my black shoulder bag on and rest my sunglasses on my hat for safe keeping. I was good to go.
I make my way downstairs and see my mom in the kitchen as I reach the bottom.
"Morning, Mom!" I announce as I walk over to the kitchen.
"Morning, Calem!" she replies, one hand on her hip as always. "You sure slept well! All rested up from the move?"
"I think so! I was a little stiff when I first got up, but I think I'm good to go."
"Isn't it about time you got going? Don't want to wait too long you know."
"I know. I know. I'm heading out right now!"
"Why don't you say hello to the neighbors while you're at it?"
"Sure thing, Mom. I'll be back later!"
    "Alright dear!"
I turn and walk over to the front door. I can only imagine the things waiting for me just beyond it. I open the door and step through.
