Dave definitely wished he could wait till they got home because once they were behind the closed door Bro shoved him into the wall. His brother was silent he'd never seen him this mad before. Hell Dave would rather him be screamin and throwin shit around than be dead silent like he was.

"Roof now." Were the first and only two gruff sharp words Bro had spoken since they collided. Dave knew that this meant he was about to have his ass handed to him via strife.

"Bro I'm sor...." His voice trailed off and he quickly looked down trying to avoid his brothers killer glare.

The two mermen made their way to the roof which was enclose by a cage like network of bars and coral. Dave's sword was heavy in his hands as he watched Bro almost drift to the other side of the roof. Heart racing as he watch and swallowed his brothers sword never leaving his gaze. He knew it wouldn't be enough his flash swim was far inferior to bro's.

There was a flash of light and Dave barely had enough time to raise his sword to block the incoming attack. He felt himself move back and before he could counter bro was behind him. The red eyed merman barely managed to get away from serious damage with his flash swim as he felt the blade graze his back.

Attack after attack Dave could feel his strength fading and his movements getting slower. His body stung from all the close calls from the hours of onslaught from Bro. The larger merman was suddenly gone from his sight and then blackness.

Next thing he knew he was waking up face down on the roof top. How long had he been out? He managed to look towards the orangy surface. Was it already morning? They had been strifing for hours and then Bro knocked him out and left him there, what a great and concerned guardian he was.

Dave slowly got up hissing a little in pain before slowly making his way to his room sore as hell. He patched himself up like always but this time was far worse than the others. Usually it was just a couple nicks here and there but this time? He was covered head to tail fin in cuts and gashes.

"Those'll scar like hell..." He mumbled before laying down stiffly. Sleep quickly enveloped him into a dreamless sleep again.
