~Now watch from the narrator's point of view~
A vague sense of relief passed over Dave because he believed the blue eyed human before him. He hasn't known John for very long maybe an hour at most, but he felt like he could trust him.
"Thank you..." His grip on the others shoulders loosened as he looked away. He pulled his hands back towards himself. "I really should get going...my bro probably has realized I'm gone by now..." The young merman pulled away from the human. "Try to keep your glasses on your face while I'm gone, okay?"
John couldn't help but laugh a little at Dave's words as he rubbed his shoulder from from Dave's grip. "I'll definitely try, goodbye Dave I hope I get to see you again."
"I hope so too, bye!" With that Dave quickly swam away mentally punching himself as he did, why would he do something like put hope in that guys head that they'd be able to see each other again? Dave would be lucky to swim away scott free this time. There could never be an "again." End of story... Why did that make him so upset though...?
Dave shook his head to clear his thoughts and slammed into something-no someONE.
"David Elizabeth Strider you are in so much fuckin trouble." A deep voice that was all to familiar to the red eyed merman came from the person he had just run into. That voice sent shivers down his spine and through his fins. He slowly dared to look up, his red eyes met the orange ones of none other than...
"Oh h-hey Bro, what brings you here?" He straightened himself a little before being seized by the arm.
"You know exactly what you little shit. First ya fuckin lie to me tellin me you're goin to Rose's place. Then I find out ya never went there at all. And lastly you were at the shore durin daylight hours! Ya coulda been seen and youre not supposed to be there at all in the first place!" Bro's faces was red with rage as he yelled at the younger.
Dave couldn't think of his usual witty comebacks because of how caught off guard he was at his brother's presence. The only thing he could think is that he was glad his brother hadn't seem him with John or he'd be shark bait.
"Bro I-"
"I don't wanna fuckin hear it." Bro snapped cutting Dave off and he went silent. "Just wait till we get home." He growled.
