Chapter 17

We finished our dinner around 7:30pm.

"Could we have the check please?" Shawn asked.
"Yes, I'll be right back with it." The waitress said.
I started to get out my billfold and Shawn looked at me plain-faced.
"Really?" He asked with a smirk.
"Can I at least pay for the tip?" I argued back.
"Nope, this is a date. I'm going to pay everything." Shawn said pulling out his wallet.

He paid and then we walked out the door.
"Wanna go for a walk?" Shawn asked me.
"Sure." I smiled.
We walked across the street to the park.
I had on my light sweater and I started to shiver.
"Are you cold?" Shawn asked me.
"Yeah, a little." I answered.
Shawn took off his leather jacket and wrapped it around me.
"Thanks." I said blushing.
Then Shawn wrapped his arm around my waist. I snuggled up to his chest.

"I'm going to be completely honest with you." I started off.
"Okay, now I'm scared." He giggled.
"I never thought that you and I would date." I said looking up at him.
"Me neither. But you want to know a secret?" He asked.
"Yeah." I smiled. I couldn't contain myself anymore. Shawn had BROKEN ME.

"I've always had a bit of a crush on you." He blushed.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yep." He looked kinda embarrassed.
"Shawn, that's really sweet." We stopped walking.
It started to snow a little bit. Just little flurries.
Shawn still had his arm around my waist.
Then he bent down, and cupped his hand around my cheek. He leaned in and gently kissed me.
Then he pulled away.
"That should've been our first kiss." I laughed.
"As a real couple- it is." He grabbed my hand and we walked back to his jeep.

When we pulled into my driveway- it was around 8:30pm. My curfew is at 9 (only on school nights)....so my mom will be happy.

Shawn walked me up to my door and kissed me once more.
Then he went over to his house.
I opened the door smiling.
"How was your date?" My mom asked.
"AMAZING!" I screamed.
