-the next day-

It had been a long day. When I started thinking about her- I would start to cry.
It was terrible.

My dad was flying back today. Since he had been out of town.
Liz was here with me and Shawn.
They would each take turns comforting me.
I loved them so much.

"Thanks you guys." I tried to smile.
"Anytime." Liz said smiling.
"Yeah, anytime and anyplace." Shawn said cuddling me.

"Shawn, I want you to go back to Magcon." I said holding back tears.
"Sorry Sam. Not without you." He was so stubborn.
"Shawn. I'm not kidding. You have way too much talent to be sitting around here." I argued back.

Then my phone buzzed.
I was getting a call from Bart.

Convo-
B- hey Sam, how are things?
Me- they could be better. My mom has stage 3 breast cancer.
B- I'm so sorry. I will keep her in my prayers.
Me- thank you Bart. I appreciate it.
B- it's the least I could do.

I smiled and almost hung up.

B- Sam? Wait! I have some exciting news.
Me- yeah?
B- you have some records deals.

I almost started to cry.

Me- really?
B- yeah, Republic Records, Island Records, and Columbia Records.
Me- oh my goodness. Which should I choose?
B- I thought I would talk to you about it when you get back.
Me- that might be awhile.

"Sam, can you come in here?" My mom asked.

Me- hey Bart. Could I call you back? My mom is asking for me.
B- yes. Take your time sweetie.
Me- thanks!

I walked in.
"Sam, I heard your conversation. You're going back." She said.
"No, you're not well enough for me to leave." I argued.
I hated arguing with her but this was for a good reason.
"Your dad is coming home this afternoon. Go back tonight. And we'll keep you posted." She gave a weak smile.

"I love you." I said kissing her cheek.
"I love you too." She returned.
