"Jin hyung, aren't you coming? " Namjoon asked as he grabbed a coat from the rack.
Sighing, I stood up and went out from our dorm with him. Namjoon started the car engine while I'm still staring blankly at my own reflection in the car.
"Hyung, you have to move on. "
"It's not that easy, you know? " I said, sighing for the millionth time already.
"That is why Jimin and I are setting you up for a blind date. Please be polite to your date later, okay? "
"I'll try. "
I had turned down every single girl whom is my date. I'm not interested in them, no matter how beautiful and rich they are.
"We're here, hyung. " said Namjoon as he parked the car beside a café. The café which I always visited.
I bid goodbye to Namjoon and went into the cafe. The same aroma of coffee reached my nose every time I open the door. I ordered a strawberry shortcake and a glass of ice blended mocha.
Playing with the rose on my table, I didn't notice there was a girl standing right in front of me until she clears her throat.
"Hello, you must be Kim Seok Jin. " she said and smiled.
I looked up and smiled back, "Hi. "
She pulled a chair and sat across me, ordering something as the waiter comes.
"Give me an iced Americano and a piece of blueberry cheesecake please. That's all. " she said to the waiter and then looked at me.
"So.. Let's start talking about your interests. " she said to me.
"I love cooking, and dancing. "
(LOL JIN, WHY TF U LYINNNN)
"Oh, really? I love boys who can cook too! " the girl exclaimed happily.
Yeah.. She loves the fact that I can cook, too.
I stared at the strawberry shortcake and bit my lip, trying not to cry as I remembered this is the favorite food of the love of my life.
"Are you okay, Seok Jin-ssi? " my date asked as she waved her hand in front of my face.
Giving her a reassured smile, I nodded in order to response to her question.
"What do you do when you have free time? " I asked. She took a sip of her iced Americano before answering me.
"Well.. I usually take my dog out for a walk or maybe painting. "
But she hates dog since she's really allergic to dog furs. And she would throw a tantrum every time when she was assigned to paint something. She hates painting too.
"Oh, that's nice. " I said.
"What about you? " asked the girl.
I paused for a second before answering her.
"I visit my girlfriend when I have free time. No, scratch that. I visit her every single day. " I said.
She looked shocked and angry at the same time. Standing up, she scoffed and splashed me with her drink.
"Are you toying with me? Why bother to meet me when you already have a girlfriend? You're such a jerk! " she yelled in my face, grabbing her bag and left the scene.
"Sir, are you okay? " a waitress came and offered me some napkins. I gladly took them and paid for the bill before leaving the cafe, too.
I took a taxi to the florist shop and bought a bouquet of carnations.
Standing in front of my girlfriend's grave, my tears started to spill. Sobbing uncontrollably, I kneeled down and placed the flower in front of her tomb, my hand shakily caressed her tombstone.
"I miss you, jagiya. "
A year ago, my girlfriend broke up with me for no reason. I tried to contact her numerous times but it seemed that she had changed her phone number. I even went to her parents house and they said she had went overseas to study.
I didn't give up on her. Every day, I would hope that I'll meet her one day. And my dream came true. Her sister called me and asked me to go to the hospital before my girlfriend dies.
It was a shocking news that my girlfriend had brain tumor, and when they discovered it, it was already too late. She has been spending months lying on the hospital bed.
My heart ache when I saw her breathing weakly, her chest heaved up and down when she saw me. Slowly, I grabbed her hand and kissed it.
"Why didn't you tell me? " I asked.
She was too weak to speak. She mouthed a 'sorry' to me and asked me to come closer. I placed a kiss on her chapped lips, my tears drip on her cheeks.
"I.. Love you. " she said to me in a small voice. The moment she closed her eyes, I knew she was gone. Forever.
And now, I'm crying in front of her grave.
"I brought you your favorite flowers, jagiya. " I cried out.
"You promised me you'll marry to me after you graduate. Why did you leave me now? "
"Seok Jin.. " I immediately recognize the owner of the voice.
"Stop crying. Please, be strong. You promised me you won't cry even when I was gone. "
"How could I not cry?! I love you so much and now you're gone! " I roared.
"Jinnie, if one day I died, promise me you won't cry, alright? "
"Pabo. " I flicked her forehead and she winced in pain.
"Just promise me! " she whined.
"Okay okay. " I chuckled, "Seriously, don't you dare die before me. "
I remembered I did promise her that I won't cry. But promises are meant to be broken, right? Just like she did to me. She broke our promise. She passed away before me, and leave me alone to go on this miserable life.
"Please, be happy. I will always love you, Jinnie. "
"And I love you too. " I whispered. Just as I was about to leave, I felt a pair of cold lips met mine.
"Goodbye. "
"Goodbye. " I mumbled as I walks out the cemetery with a heavy heart.
