I woke up to my phone ringing, I looked and 8 missed calls from Alec. I answered his 9th call.
"Oh my god, why are you so obsessed with me?" I joked.
"Open your door, I'm here." And he hung up. I was in spandex, and a cropped, old t-shirt. I got out of bed and looked into the mirror. My bed head wasn't bad today, I checked my bruises and they looked the same. It was worth it, at least he didn't do anything worse....right? Alec texted me on my replacement phone he gave me too use for a while.

Alec: Omg woman let me in

Callie: Why should I?

Alec: We need to talk

Callie: No we don't, so piss off.

Alec: I brought donuts

Callie: In that case.....still no

Alec: PLEASEEEEEEEEEE I wanna explain my feelings for you

I didn't reply, I walked to the door and let him in.
"You have 15 minutes, and owe me some donuts." I smirked, he smirked back.
"Yes ma'am." We walked to the living room and sat on the couch. I grabbed a chocolate frosted donut, and took a bite. Alec looked at me and laughed.

"What?"
"You have chocolate on your nose, here let me get it." He took his thumb and wiped it off. His touch felt electric again, like it did in the hospital.
"Thanks." I mumbled, looking at my feet.
"So, umm...I like you Callie." He looked nervous.
"Okay."
"Like a lot."
"This is too fast, and your Zack's bestfriend. That's like against bro code or whatever." I was still looking at my feet. I felt his eyes on me, i lifted my head up.
"He hurt you Callie! I won't hurt you, I would never harm you." He looked at me with a look of....a look of pain and sincere. This was all too fast, way too fast.
"Alec, this is too fast, I mean I haven't even talked to the police yet." My eyes widened, shit that was today.
"I know, that's today. I was gonna take you, so you weren't alone." He gave me a small smile.
"Thanks, but I'll be okay. I'm a big girl." I didn't need to drag Alec into drama he didn't need. I got up off the couch and Alec grabbed my wrist.
"Just one question?"
"What is it?"
"Do you at least like me a little?"
"I don't honestly know."

***********

I was sitting in a chair, a police officer in front of me.
"Hello, I'm Officer Keith, can you tell me what happened?" His voice was so kind, so welcoming. I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath. I re told him the story about 3 times, and he wrote everything down. "Alright, we are gonna let Melinda take some photographs of your injuries, okay?" He smiled warmly, and I nodded. I was hadn't cried yet, I was doing good. Officer Keith left the room, and soon a tall blonde walked in. She had little freckles across her face, bright blue eyes, an looks about 25. She was gorgeous.
"I'm Melinda, you must be Callie." She held out her hand, and I shook it. She smiled sweetly, and asked me to follow her. We walked into what looked like a forensic unit room, and she grabbed a camera. She told me to take off my shirt, so she could see all my injuries. I did as I was told, and she snapped all my bruises. She told me I could put my shirt back on, so I did. Melina then looked at me, and hugged me. I finally let my tears fall, all I needed was someone who cared. Kate and I haven't talked since the party, and Alec......he wanted to help me, he wanted to be by my side, and I was pushing him away. But that's what I do, I can never keep someone close. Melinda let go of me and her eyes were filled with sadness.
"We're gonna bring you justice, Callie. He's not walking free." I nodded, and wiped my tears. I was too emotional.

Melinda showed me back to the lobby, where Alec was sitting. His eyes lit up, but then saddened as he saw my tear soaked face.
"We will let you know when we have a trial date set, until then stay safe." Melinda waved, and walked back into an office.
"Your okay, right?" Alec grabbed my shoulders softly, and looked into my eyes.
"Yea, I'm fine." I smiled weakly, he frowned.
"You don't have to lie to me, you can trust me. I'm not going anywhere, Cal I'm staying whether you want me to or not." He hugged me, and I hugged him back. That's all I needed right now, a hug.

"You promise?" I dug my head into his chest.
"I promise."

*******

Alec dropped me off at home, and left. I felt so lonely now, but it was okay. I was okay. I turned on Netflix, made some popcorn, snuggled up on the couch with Bruno. I clicked on Degrassi, and started binge watching. I got bored and texted Alec.

Callie: Wanna come watch a movie?

Alec: Like Netflix and chill??? *wiggles eyebrows*

I laughed at his dirty mind.

Callie: No you sicko, just a movie.

Alec: I guess it's better than nothing, be there in 5.

I smile, and waited for Alec to get here. I heard a mock on the door and Bruno perked up his ears but didn't move,
"Bruno stay." He laid back down.
"Doors open." I shouted, and Alec walked in. He kicked off his shoes an sat besides me.
"What's up, buddy?" He smirked, and I laughed.
"What do you wanna watch? I was thinking, The Notebook?" I wiggled my eyebrows, and he chuckled.
"Fuck no, we are watching Lilo and Stitch." He grabbed the remote, and found Lilo and Stitch.
"Sure." I smiled, he smiled back. He started the movie and we both just laughed at Stitches dog like features. Alec wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and pulled me closer. I snuggled into his side, and laid my head on his shoulder.

I could get used to this. I laughed a little more, before slowly dosing off. I heard Alec say something, but I was too sleepy to make sense of it.
