Alec's P.O.V.
*************

I woke up to Callie shifting under my arms, her small  5'3 frame was curled into a ball. Her cheeks were streaked with dried tears, and her eyes rimmed with red. Her long, brown hair was fanned across a her pillow and shoulder. A small smile played on her lips, I haven't seen her smile for a while. Even in one of her roughest states, she still looked breathtaking.

She rolled over, still sound a sleep, now facing me. I chuckled quietly at how her hair was now knotted, and covered her face. If she saw herself right now she would die from embarrassment.

I saw her eyes flutter open, flashing her almost gold, hazel eyes. Sleep was caught in her eyes like stars caught in a galaxy. She shut her eyes almost immediately, as she covered her face with her hands.

"Ugh." She groaned, hungover much?
"I'll be right back." I whispered, leaving the warmth of her bed. She nodded as she groaned again, shoving a pillow over her face. I smirked at how she sprawled out, reaching for another pillow and blanket to hide under. I walked to the window, and closed the blinds so the light wouldn't attack her eyes again. I went to the kitchen, and begun a long search for aspirin. I found some in a drawer after 5 minutes of searching, and then got a glass of water. As I walked back to her room, I saw Callie had removed her head from the pillow. She was sitting up, and looking around, annoyance played across her face. I handed her the water and aspirin, she took it and then fell back onto the bed.

"Thanks." She turned onto her side and looked at me.

"No problem, I know how much hangovers suck." I chuckled.

"No, for last night too." She got quiet, and my smile faded.

"Yeah, no problem." There was an awkward silence between us for a while. I listened to the silence, hearing small drops hit the roof.
Rain.

"I love the rain." She was now staring at the ceiling. I stayed quiet, I wasn't sure what to say. Callie got up from the bed, and walked towards me.  She got really close, her eyes glinted with pain.

"Why are you still here?" A tear escaped her eye.

"Because I love you." I didn't even think before I said that. Callie's eyes widened, and then she looked at the floor.

"Alec, no one truely loves me." I could hear her heart break as she said that.

"Callie you know that's not true." I tried to hug her but she moved away.

"My mom, dad, sister, and Zack said they loved me....but mom chose dad, dad beat me, Harper left me, and Zack...." her voice trailed off.

"Zack beat me too." My heart shattered hearing her words.

"But I'm here to stay. They left and hurt you because they're blind, they didn't know what they had. Callie, you deserve so much better. I love you, and I'm never gonna leave you." I reached out and pulled her towards me. I wrapped my arms around her, and felt her melt into my chest.

"Promise me?" She mumbled through her tears.

"Promise."
