Because of You

Chapter 3

I woke up at the side of my bed with a headache. Its all because of what happened last night.

I couldn't sleep. I turned, toss and actually tried alot to make me sleep but nothing worked out but I got atleast a bit of sleep.

I kept thinking about what I was supposed to say to him. Honestly, I'm actually ready to forgive him but I can't tell him straight away. I'm still thinking about it.

As I went downstairs I noticed that my sister was still sleeping at the couch.

"Kat, why are you sleeping here?" I whispered to her softly while gently waking her up.

She must have been awake all night too. She's been working hard on her project for quite some time now. She deserves to get some rest.

" Oh, I was working on my project , I must have fell asleep. " Kat replied with a sleepy voice.

I really love my sister so much. She has always been there for me in good and bad times. She's the best sister I could ever ask for.

"Get up and go to your room, so you could rest properly."

She nodded and proceeded to go up stairs.

I was about to eat breakfast when the pain of my headache started kicking in.

"Mom.." I called out.

I couldn't call my sister because she still is sleeping upstairs.

"Mom!" I tried calling out again.

Helpless again, I stood up and went to the kitchen and to my dissapointment, Mom wasn't there.

I don't know where the medicines are, and I can't ask help from my sister. I went back to the couch and sat down hoping my headache will go away.

I doze off.

As soon as I woke up, I saw Race beside me holding a towel and on the floor, a bowl of cold water.

"Race what are you doing here?" I asked in shocked.

" I was about to go to my friend's house when I saw your house. I was just supposed to stop by to greey your parents but they weren't here and they left the door open."

"And so?"

"And so I went in, and I immediately saw you on the couch sleeping, and sweating so badly. So I decided to stay and take care of you."

I wanted to protest, but I really couldn't take care of myself alone, I needed help. So I let him.

"What happened with you? You look so pale and you also look in pain." He asked worried.

Oh nothing much. I just couldn't sleep because of you, nothing more. But of course I wouldn't say that.

"I think its because I wasn't able to sleep that much last night, so I woke up with a headache.."

He let out a small sigh and continued on putting a cold towel on my forehead.

"Thank you.." I said weakly.

"For what." Race replied while gently patting my head.

"For taking care of me. You really didn't have too."

He looked at me directly in the eyes and replied softly.

"Its just one of the things I would do for you."

And because of that my heart skipped a beat.

" I'll need to check your temperature. Where is your thermometer? " he asked.

I pointed at the cabinet near the T.V.

He stood up to get it and placed it under my armpit

"Kait, you are really sick" he said and gave me the thermometer.

41°c . I really am sick.

"But don't worry! I'll take care of.you and you will be better in no time!" He said with a cheerful smile that actually made me let out a smile.

"Oh so you're a doctor now?"

"No. But I've watched alot of those korean dramas that do this to their girlfriends to feel better.

" Do what? "

He slowly leaned down until our faces was only an inch away from each other.

"This."

Then his lips touched mine.

The kiss lasted for 3 seconds and he pulled away.

This was the first time we kissed after a long time. Nothing changed from the way he did it alot of times before. I kinda missed it.

I am at total shock.

" woah okay okay first of all, I am not your girlfriend, second , what the hell was that for? Third, seriously, korean dramas? " I replied in shock.

" First of all, you were and I'm trying to get you back , second, Just admit that you liked it, Third, yes. "

I couldn't reply any longer. Even if I did reply , I'd still lose the arguement.

I put my hands out for a sign of a defeat. He stuck his tongue out as a tease. Silly boy.

I was about to fire an ultimate revenge when we both saw my sister at the stairs looking at both of us with a huge grin on hee face.

Oh no.

"Please tell me you didn't see all of  that." I asked as I placed a pillow on my face to cover. I was blushing so hard.

" Soooo um Race, would you mind to have dinner with us later? " Kat asked still grinning.

" I would love too." Race replied with a smile

" Okay! I'll take care of my little sis and you get ready for dinner okay? "

" sounds great! See you later, Kait. " He smiled and left.

I was now left with my sister.

" mind explaining ? " she asked.

"Nope. Just please give me medicine already, I'm really hurting right now."

"Laaame excuse lil sis"

"But not as lame as your excuses"

"Peleaaase, I'm your big sister, you have to tell me"

"Long story cut short, Mom wasn't home , I was sick , he took care of me, we got into an conversation and kissed me, end of story " I said with a sigh.

She asked an awful lot of question which definitely made my headachr worst.

She was about to ask another one when I interrupted her.

" Kat please stop. Just give me medicine already."

"Oh yeah I forgot. Tell me more when you are done drinking medicine. Also, get ready for dinner, Race is coming by" she winked and left.

I love my sister but she seriously gets so annoying.
