It's been about 5 months since Yookyung transfered to TOP High and already she's fallen in love with the baddest and strongest guy in the school, L.joe.
In class, Yookyung would sneak some glances at L.joe. He would either be dozing off or staring out the window, obviously uninterested in the lesson. When he caught her looking at him, she would turn her attention back to the board, trying to hide her burning cheeks.
Up at the rooftop, Yookyung leaned against the railing and sighed. Mihyun handed her a sandwich and she gratefully took it. The two friends sat down on the floor, the warm spring breeze blowing. Yookyung nibbled on the sandwich while Mihyun practically devoured hers in minutes. "What's wrong, Yookyung?"
Yookyung pouted, "I don't know. Why is love so complicated?" Mihyun squealed, "Are you in love with someone? Who? Who is it! Tell me!" The girl brought her knees up to her chest and resumed eating her sandwich. Mihyun pushed her slightly and whined, "Tell me~. Oh come one! Just tell me who it is!"
She sighed and looked at her knees. "L.joe." Mihyun blinked and leaned in closer, "Who?" "L.joe." This time, she heard and gasped loudly. "What?! You like L-mmphh!!!" Yooykung slapped her hand over her mouth before she could yell it to the world and shushed the girl. "Keep it down! I don't want other people to know."
Mihyun nodded and removed Yookyung's hand, taking a deep breath. "Oh my gosh, I cannot believe that you like him!" "Like who?" Chunji asked as he appeared out of nowhere. Yookyung had a mini heart attack, surprised at Chunji coming from nowhere. Teen Top walked through the door and Niel sat down in front of the two girls, rubbing his hands. "So~, who has a crush on someone?" He wiggled his eyebrows, making the girls laugh.
Ricky ran over and grabbed Yookyung's arm, "Noona you like someone?" Her eyes widened when she saw L.joe walk in and she shook her head, "No, I don't like anyone!"
When L.joe heard her say that she didn't like anyone, his hopes were raised. *So there's no competition huh? Yes!* But L.joe wasn't the only one cheering. Changjo inwardly smiled. *That means I have a chance.* He looked down and bit his lower lip, trying to fight back his smile but it didn't work.
While Yookyung walked to work, Mihyun went as well, wanting to see where the cafe was. "So, are you going to confess to him or what?" She questioned. Yookyung titled her head a bit and thought. "I haven't thought about confessing yet. But what if he doesn't like me?" Mihyun scoffed, "Well if he rejects you, he'll be missing out on what could be his."
Yookyung chuckled, "Wow, you make it sound as if I'm worth going out with." Her friend hit her arm, "Do you know how many guys in our school want you?" She looked at her with wide eyes, "What?" Mihyun nodded, "A lot of guys think you're hot so yeah." Yookyung rolled her eyes, "Whatever, they only go for girls with big boobs, plastic faces and nice bodies."
The two soon arrived at Starlight Cafe and Yookyung happily greeted Kanghyuk. "Kanghyuk oppa, I brought a friend with me!" The barista looked up and smiled, "Hi! Welcome to Starlight Cafe. You're Yookyung's friend? You're pretty cute." He winked and went back to making coffee. Mihyun turned around and fanned herself, mentally squealing.
Mihyun sat down at a small table across from the counter while Yookyung went to the back to the change. When she came out, she could see hearts in Mihyun's eyes when Kanghyuk was taking her order. She smiled and walked to her. She sat in the opposite seat and leaned forward. Teasingly, she asked, "So~, looks like someone here has fallen in love at first sight!"
Her friend blushed and shushed her, "Shut up! Don't say anything." Yookyung pretended to zip her lips. "You have my word. I should try hooking you two up." Mihyun squealed and slammed her hands on the table, "Really?!" Customers looked her way and she dipped her head. Yookyung nodded, "Sure, why not. Just don't say a word about me and L.joe."
Mihyun leaned forward and hugged her friend. "You're the best!" Kanghyuk soon came back with a strawberry shortcake and latte. "Here you go, pretty lady." Mihyun blushed and thanked him. Yookyung patted her friend's shoulder, "I'm gonna work now." Mihyun nodded and shooed her away.
Yookyung lightly nudged Kanghyuk, "So, you okay with going out with girls younger than you?" Kanghyuk looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "I'm flattered Yookyung, but I believe that maybe you're a little too young for me." She looked in disbelief, "What?! Me?! No, I don't have a thing for you. Just asking if age is a big factor for you when it comes to dating."
Kanghyuk nodded, "Oh. Well, I guess it sorta depends." Yookyung smiled, satisfied at his answer. She nodded and went to take some orders.
