"...The partner I was looking for all along... It was you?!"
They stared at each other for the longest time. Both realizing the partner they had lost all this time was staring right back at them. They didn't even notice Jet was eavesdropping around the corner. Jet breathed out a shaky sigh. So... That's who Rose's long lost partner is. Oh Arceus, I guess I better start trusting him. I mean...
Finally, Rose spoke, "Even if I've turned into a Pokemon, I'm still glad we have found each other."
"I'm glad too, Rose," Grovyle said.
They both pulled each other into a hug, and Jet had to stop himself from awwing from the cuteness. Jet instead ducked away, and sighed. Something tells me this has happened before... Maybe to me...? Or will it happen in the future?
Rose came up to him after a while, and she was blushing, "Jet, I have to tell you something."
"Hm?"
"I... Finally found him. My partner I've been talking to you about. I've found him."
"I... I know," Jet said, "I... I feel happy for you. I mean, I didn't know it'd be him, that was unexpected, but... Still... I'm glad you've finally found him."
"Thanks, Jet," Rose said quietly.
...
The three embarked on their journey again, after they looked around to see if Dusknoir wasn't around. Then, they continued on the trail, but Rose didn't feel any nervous anymore. All of that had left. As long as she was with her partner, she'd feel brave. And calm. She'd do anything now, take on Primal Dialga for Arceus's sake, as long as she had her partner with her. And... Team SteelSpark. Jet. Vine wasn't there, of course, but she knew Vine was alright. The guild would take good care of him. As for now, with her trapped in the Future with a Shinx who may or may not be scared to death right now, and her old partner from when she was human, she'd do anything. Anything, to get them out of this mess. And even more, fix it.
"So... Where now?" Jet asked.
"We're going to Dusk Forest. I have a friend there that can bring us back to the past," Grovyle replied.
"Let's do it, then," Rose said.
...
"Be careful now, Dusk Forest is known for its fog, so we have to try and stay together. If we get separated, it would be easier for the Pokemon to crowd us, and, you know..."
"Yeah, we know. Can I grab your hand?"
"Well, uh, sure, Rose... I guess it isn't that awkward, is it..."
"Um, what are those eyes staring back at me..."
"Jet! Get away from that! I use Force Palm!"
"Alrighty then. Leaf Blade!"
"Phew, we got through that one. There's more where that one came from, though."
"Gah!"
"Jet! Don't trip on anything!"
"Ugh, fine, Rose. I mean, this fog, and it's not like I can see where I'm going... How can Grovyle manage?"
"He's Grovyle, Jet."
"Yes. I'm Grovyle."
"Um... Okie, let's just continue..."
"What's that Pokeomn over there?"
"Force Palm! Sowwy Jet, that ones also dangerous."
"Aren't they all?"
"Correct. Now, let's continue. I know the way."
...
Rose stumbled to a halt, and Jet almost tripped again, but managed to keep balance. Grovyle hopped down from a tree. (How... He's magic! Or, you know, he's Grovyle) Rose looked around. "She's here, right?"
"Hello, there!" A voice called.
A pink Celebi floated over to them. Rose instantly remember the Celebi in her flashback.
"Celebi!" Rose breathed.
"Grovyle, who are these Pokemon you brought over?" Celebi asked.
"Well, this is Jet, and this is Rose. Rose, my partner. During the Time Travel mishap, she turned into a Pokemon."
"Rose, it's great to see you again!" Celebi floated around her, "Even if you did turn into a Pokemon. We missed you, it's been a long while."
"It's great to see you too," Rose said joyfully.
"Alright, so you guys need to get back to the past? I can do that. I just need to warm up my powers..."
And Dusknoir is on our trail, so hurry! Rose thought with nervousness.
"Well, I think I have it ready, just wait a second..." And then a Time Portal formed in front of them.
"Wait, I think I hear Dusknoir," Rose said worriedly.
"Well, what are you waiting for, jump!" Jet said, and grabbed onto Rose's hand. Rose grabbed onto Grovyle's and started the coundown.
"Three, two, one, JUMP!"
They did so, and just like last time, Rose saw darkness.
...
Rose jolted awake, and just about fell into the water. She tasted salt water, and realized where she was.
The Beach! Where I seem to always lose consciousness!
Rose sighed, and stood up, looking right next to her and seeing Jet on the sand, too. She shook him, "Wake up, Jet! Wake up!"
Jet groaned, and sat up, rubbing his head. He saw Rose, and said, "You're alright, right?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine, except for the fact that I always lose consciousness on this beach," Rose sighed.
"We're on the beach, then," Jet said, and surveyed his surroundings. "By the way, are you forgetting something?"
Rose tilted her head.
"Or should I say, someone?"
Rose gasped. "Grovyle! Right! Uh, um, where is-" She spotted the body of Grovyle a little ways away, "Um, yeah, let me go get him..."
She ran to him, and shook him, "Are you okay?"
Grovyle groaned, and mumbled, "I'm fine, Rose... Where are we, anyways?"
"On the beach where I always lose consciousness," Rose replied.
"Oh. Right," He surveyed the beach, "Got it. Where do we set up camp?"
Rose looked around her, "Where is a place that no one could expect a group of Pokemon to seek shelter... Hmm..."
A/N Soo... So you like the dialogue? I might actually do the dialogue-only scenes for dungeons, to be honest. I had fun with this chapter, As you can see. To be honest, I had fun with all of them. Meh, I like this fanfic. I might actually make a series, if I get enough votes and/or other stuff showing you like it. Like, comments saying your favorite part(s). Who knows, you might like more than one. Give me a top 5 list or something if that is the case if you like it. Soo yeah... See you guys later!
