Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: The Keepers of Time

Chapter 2

There it was.

The Guild entrance.

Jet felt himself shake. He had been through this before. He had chickened out before, but now he knew he could do it. He was with Rose now. He could do this.

He stepped on the grate. And waited.

"POKEMON DETECTED! POKEMON DETECTED! WHOSE FOOTPRINT? WHOSE FOOTPRINT! THE FOOTPRINT IS SHINX'S! THE FOOTPRINT IS SHINX'S!"

Jet stepped back, gulping.

'YOU HAVE SOMEONE WITH YOU! LET THEM STEP ON THE GRATE!"

"I guess it's your turn, Rose," Jet whispered to Rose. She nodded, stepping up to the grate like she had done it millions of times before. Why was she so brave? Why couldn't he be as well?

"POKEMON DETECTED! POKEMON DETECTED! WHOSE FOOTPRINT? WHOSE FOOTPRINT? THE FOOTPRINT IS... UM..."

"TELL US WHO THE POKEMON IS, DIGLETT!"

"UM... THE FOOTPRINT... MIGHT BE RIOLU'S! THE FOOTPRINT... MIGHT BE RIOLU'S!"

"MIGHT BE?!"

"I DON'T KNOW, SIRE, I REALLY DON'T KNOW... I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE IN MY LIFE..."

"Are they fighting?" Jet whispered to Rose.

"I think so, and it's kind of silly," Rose replied.

"IT'S TRUE WE MIGHT NOT HAVE SEEN A RIOLU IN OUR LIFE, BUT STILL. ALRIGHT! IN YOU GO!"

The gate opened, and Jet's eyes widened.

"Let's go!" Rose said, and ran inside.

They came to a ladder, and Rose climbed down it. Jet went close behind.

The place...was full of Pokémon! They were probably all from exploration teams, and they were all happy. They were talking, laughing, discussing new missions, a bunch of things! Rose felt good to be a Pokémon now. If this was what a Pokémon did here, then she was all up for it!

"Hello, hello, welcome to Wigglytuff's Guild! Now, as I said, no petititions, advertisements, or any of that mumbo jumbo, you may leave now!" A Pokémon flew up to them.

"Actually, we're here to be in an Exploration Team..." Jet said, nervously.

"Really?" The Pokémon tilted his head, "Well then, follow me! My name's Chatot, by the way," He said over his shoulder. The two followed him, and then they stopped in front of a door. "Headmaster Wigglytuff is in there. You go see if he wants you to join his guild," Chatot said, and pushed them in.

Wigglytuff seemed to be waiting for them, and when they got closer, he turned around, "HEY GUYS! I'm Wigglytuff the Headmaster! So you're here to make an Exploration Team?"

"Yeah!" Rose said.

"Well, have you figured out a name yet?" Wigglytuff asked.

"Uh..." They hadn't thought of that yet. "Oh! I know! Team SteelSpark! How 'bout it, Rose?" Jet asked her.

Rose nodded, "I like it. It's going to be Team SteelSpark!"

"Well then, your team name is now Team SteelSpark!" Wigglytuff said happily, "Here, take these! They will help you on your missions!" He gave them a chest. When they opened it, it was full of goodies. A bag, a badge, two bandanas... "Wow, thank you, Guildmaster Wigglytuff!" Jet said joyfully.

"Now, Chatot will teach you the basics, and then you will be off to adventure!" Guildmaster Wigglytuff said. They left, happy, and excited.

Chatot was waiting for them outside. "So, it seems you have become an Exploration Team! Now it's time to teach you everything you should know!" Chatot said.

Jet and Rose nodded.

"Man, that was tiring," Jet yawned.

"Yeah, maybe we should get some sleep. I mean, these nests are comfy!" Rose said, hopping in her own nest.

"Yeah, hey, you know, you're happy you're here, aren't you?" Jet asked, getting comfy.

"Of course! I didn't know it would be like this!" Rose said.

"I'm glad you love it here. Maybe we should go to sleep now," Jet said, and closed his eyes.

Rose did so as well.

...

"AND THREE: SMILES GO FOR MILES!" The Guild Members shouted.

"Now, off you go!" Chatot said, but then there was a slight ruckus, and a messenger Pokémon, a Pidgeotto flew in, in a ruckus. He looked like a mess, and his eyes were widened with shock.

"I have some terrible news!" He said frantically.

"What is it?" Chatot asked.

"A-A Time Gear... It has been stolen!" Pidgeotto said, and the whole room gasped.

A/N What horror! Oh mah gersh! Yep, that happened. They are an Exploration Team now, yaaay! I cannot wait for my bae to show up... and Dusknoir... (ugh) Anyways, see you guys next time!
