Zachary Mitchell was in shock

Zachary Mitchell was in shock. He had just been chased off a cliff by a gaint, hungry, angry dinosaur. That would be something that would put anyone into a fit of shock. At least he wouldn't be alone in the psych ward...

A hesitant laugh sounded next to him, he turned to the sound slowly. Grey dropped his head onto the head with a final laugh, "We did it." He said in an odd tone. Zach put his arm around his brother and pulled him closer with a laugh of his own, "Yeah, we did."

Their victory was short lived when Gray looked around them in confusion, "Where's Dana?" Zach furrowed his eyebrows and looked around again, "She was right behind me!" He scrambled to his feet and stared at the annoyingly serene water, "C'mon, Dana, c'mon." He muttered. The other teen didn't emerge. "Screw it. Grey, stay here!" He ordered before he jumped into the water to find his friend.

He held his breath for as long as he could as he searched the liquid lake. Finally, he saw the sinking figure of Dana. He kicked and pushed to reach her, he looped his arms around her petite waist and pulled her through the water. Kicking them to the surface seemed to take hours in Zach's mind.

Zach mustered the last bit of his strength to pull his girl onto the muddy bank, Grey moved quickly, pushing her thick hair back from face. She wasn't breathing, Zach couldn't help but feel scared. "Do CPR, you fool!" Grey snapped at his brother who was pulled away from his thoughts. "Huh?" Green eyes rolled, "You were a lifeguard! Give her CPR!"

Zach nodded, his hair falling into his eyes and began to try to bring her back. "C'mon, Dana, we can do this. Stay with me, c'mon. Don't die, please don't die. Please, please, please, stay with us, Dana."  He said in between compressions.

As if on cue, she sat up with a startled gasp, water coughing up from her throat. She was gulping for air greedily, her hair in disarray around her. The boys waited in tense silent to see which of them would crack first, it was actually Dana who spoke first after many, "I am never going cliff diving after this." The trio dissolved into giggles and laughter as they shook away the leftover nerves from almost being eaten.

Zach sighed in relief and in the heat of the moment leant his forehead against Dana. She lifted her gaze to his with a small smile. When Grey coughed awkwardly, they pulled away, Zach glared at his younger behind Dana so that she wouldn't see.

Despite his earlier uncomfortableness, Grey spoke with logic and sass, "Considering that they is a homicidal lizard chasing after us to, yea know, EAT US, we should get moving."

Dana smiled weakly, still suffering from a serious lack of oxygen, "Let's go. There's a patch of old buildings about two miles away."

Zach's eyes practically popped out of his frazzled head, "Miles?!" His companions laughed, "Only two." His eyes practically fell from his head, "Only?!?" He pouted but gathered his wits and helped Dana up.

The trio of soaking minors started their trek into the jungle. Just as they broke through the first line of trees, a loud angry roar sounded very close to their location. Dana grabbed Grey's hand and started pulling him in the direction of the old visiting center, Zach on their heels.
