"Okay, so just...hold hands."
Despite the horror of their currant sitiuation, Dana laughed uncontrollably when she saw Grey hold his hand out for his brother.
The Mitchell boys looked at her strangely which only served to make her laugh harder.
"I want to see again, after this is all over." Zach confessed, avoiding looking directly at Dana, "I'm going to take you on a proper date. I want to see you again." He cleared his throat, "Well not just me. I'm sure Grey would like to see you again. Well, me too actually," she holds back laughter as he trips over his words nervously. "Like your dad and my aunt Claire, that guy with the accent, and," Dana laughed and cuts off his adorable babbling by grabbing the back of his neck and pulling him into a kiss. He instinctively rest his hands on her waist still in shock. She holds her lips against his a few more seconds before finally pulling away.
Grey stared at them in horror, the way all little brothers can, "Gross." Dana blushed violently, Zach laughed and pulled her close.
"I agree with the kid," Someone who shared Grey's train of thought was Owen, who glared at Zach. Dana frowned at her father, "Papa!"
"Really?" He shifts and she can tell he's uncomfortable with this new development. "Boys?" He shakes his head in disbelief. "No, it's too soon for boys. You're too young for boys."
Dana rolls her eyes. " You're about to run with four man-eating raptors and you're afraid of a teenage boy?"
"Yes, very," he admits. Dana just laughs and hugs in. "I'll see you soon, papa. Promise?"
He held his pinky out for her. "I promise, Dana." Tears gathered in her eyes, he smiled once last time before he walked away.
The truck door closed, cutting off Dana's view of her father, tears slipped down her cheeks when she heard the roar of the bikes take off. "I would love for all of this to be over now," whispered Dana. "I don't know how much more I can take."
He slowly opened the window again to peek in on the cameras. "No!" Dana watched with horror as the raptors went after everyone who had gone to hunt the dinosaur. It seemed that the raptors had chosen a new alpha.
"Is everybody dead?" Grey asked softly, eyes wide with fear.
Claire gasped in surprise and put away the tablet. "No, no, no. Everyone is fine." Dana snorted sarcastically. "Oh yeah, everything is absolutely perfect, no one is dying at all. It's a bloody fairytale outside!"
Zach allowed her a small smile before he got mad, "Don't lie to him!" Zach shouted angerily, clutching Dana's hand tightly to anchor himself.
"He's scared! It's okay to lie when people are scared!" Yelled Claire, her brown eyes flashing with fear.
"I wanna go home," Gray told her.
Claire put her hand on his head, brushing his back in a motherly manner. "Sweetheart, you will, okay? I promise. Tomorrow you will be home... and your mother will never let me see you again."
