She looked beautiful. Long hair tumbled down her back in a cascade of dark curls and waves, her makeup was kept simple and elegant to widen her eyes and enhance her aristocratic bone structure. A white lace ball gown hugged her curves, a large burgundy ribbon had been tied around her already tiny waist. Her shoes were simple strappy black stilettos. The simple crescent moon pendant fell against her collar bone.
Zoey Evans and Reese Black were Dana's bridesmaids and closest friends. Both young women were clade in gold dresses and ivory shoes, their hair twisted into waterfall braids.
"You ready, Mrs. Mitchell?" Reese asked with a wink, a mischievous twinkle in her emerald eyes. Dana rolled her eyes and nodded.
"Not yet," she reminded, trying to hide her smile but failing epically. Reese looked stunning in the floor length, fitted beaded gown. It was a truly beautiful dress, intricate beading decorated the bodice and swept the floor, it hugged close to her abundant curves, her tiny feet her clad in black strappy stilettos. The gold fabric made her thick hair stand out like a flame in the dark. Her jewelry wasn't as extravagant as Reese's, diamond earrings dangled from her ears and a stone necklace hung between her breasts, a matching bracelet decorated her dainty wrist.
"Let's get you down that aisle," Zoey suggested triumphantly, holding her bouquet like a trophy.
"Are you ready, muffin?" Asked Reese, handing her the pale pink roses. "I think so." Dana swallowed against the lump in her throat, excitement humming in her blood. Her hands twisted and smoothed the thick fabric under her hands.
Zoey smiled and gave her friend a twirl. She looked stunning in her gold high-low gown, it was edgy and beautiful on her. Her ink black hair stood out against the pale fabric, she paired it with ruby earrings and a ruby necklace (both were gifts from her boyfriend-of-the-week, Alessandro).
"Are you ready, cupcake?" A soft smile crossed her pretty face, it was a rare sight for the young woman.
"As I'll ever be."
Reese and Zoey handed their friend off to her father with excited squeals before disappearing to find Dana's bouquet.
"You look so much like your mother." Owen's deep voice stated, cool tears gathering in his ocean eyes. She no longer looked like the little girl who stepped on his toes and demanded he teach her to dance. No, the young woman in front of him was elegant and graceful; a mirror image of his late wife.
A tear slipped down her tan cheek as her eyes meet her father's. "I wish she was here. I miss her, papa." He gave her a watery smile, "Me too, kid, me too. Happy thoughts now, Dan, c'mon let's get you hitched."

"Stay still, you fool!" Grey smacked his brother once across the face to stun him. "What if she doesn't show up?" Another rambling fell from Zach's lips, green eyes rolled in response.
