Dana froze when she felt his lips against hers, his were soft- softer than she'd previously imagined. His hands were holding her hips lightly, hers were at her sides. After a few moments, Zach started to pull away but she snapped from her state and moved with him to reconnect their lips. They moved in sync, taking things rather slow.
When they pulled away, Dana cracked him one across the face, "Ow!" He cried, holding his cheek. "Hush, I still need to finish my ranting. You are an ass-" he opened his mouth to intercept but she stopped him- "you're irresponsible, reckless, and completely deaf to the fact that you're awful to your brother!" She shouted. "I am not awful to him!" Defended Zach.
"Can you not see how worried he is about you two being seperated? You brushed him off! I comforted him because you cast him aside to flirt! To poor an entire bottle of salt onto an infected wound, you shouted at him for crying!" Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes were alight with a new fire. "I'm not saying that you don't love him, I'm sure that you do, but he doesn't know it. You need to tell him. Screw your courage to the sticking place. We're being chased by a lunatic dinosuar, now is as good a time as any, he needs you now more than ever." The brunette started to turn away from him to walk away but he grabbed her hand to stop her.
"I know, I'm awful. I get it, how do I fix it?" His figure sagged as he pleaded, it was clear that he wasn't good with words so she put pity on him. "That's something that you two need to work out."
"Very helpful, Grady." He snarked playfully, trying to get back in her good graces. "Start by appologizing."
Zach rolled his eyes, she mocked him by doing the same, "Then let's get going, Doctor Phil."
"Oh shush, I still think that you're an idiot." She kissed him again, he smiled goofily, "You're bipolar." She grinned happily, "Shut up. We should get back." He pecked her lips again before exiting the lobby to the garage. "I'll take first watch." He called after he, she flipped him a thumbs up.
Zach watched her go, her hips had a new sway to them as she walked away to the other room with his brother, he looked up at the broken ceiling. "Women." He groaned lowly before rushing after her. Her laughter echoed through the hall behind them when he caught up to her.
The garage was silent sans the quiet sounds of Grey's breathing. Dana smiled softly and set herself up on her own makeshift bed.
The idea of making Dana happy filled him with warmth and made him feel all fuzzy inside. Zach sat down quietly beside her- she was like a cat, curled up in ball of moth worn blankets, her head pillowed on her arm, lashing fluttering against her long lashes. He eased himself gently down next to her.
He heard Grey, still in the other pile of quilts, laugh, "Good night, Zach."
They were alive because of her. She yawned cutely in her slumber, he grinned sleepily when he saw her long lashes flutter as she dreamed."Goodnight, Grey."

"So," Started Grey the next miring, a mischievous smile etched onto his dusty face, "What'd you guys talk about?"Dana was quick to response, "The tragic and quick descent of the Roman Empire." Zach hide his laugh by coughing into his sleeve. The trio of amateur mechanics laughed but were quickly silenced when a defeating roar sounded somewhere in the dark, trees rattled and birds flew away from their nests, Dana covered her ears in fright. Finally the vicious call died out and she could lower her hands, she immediately looked at the youngest member of their group who was clutching onto her waist, she ran her fingers through his hair the way she assumed a sister would do.
She held her hand out to him to silently offer him some comfort, he took her hand and squeezed, "You think that it's close?" He asked Dana, seemingly terrified, for Grey's sake he added, "I mean, I know for a fact that it is definitely not out there, all right? We're tototally safe." He handed a car battery to Grey, "Here, take this, you're stronger than me." Dana smiled softly at the boys, internally going 'awww' at their brotherly moment.
They continued to work on the Jeep, their spirits lifted higher than before, even Zach was humming under his breath.

They worked quickly, the island humity making it impossible for Zach to keep his hoodie on any long. Grey noticed the way Dana's eyes widened as she looked at his brother, he rolled his eyes at the two and sent a silent prayer out to whoever would listen to get the two of them together."Alright," Zach announced proudly, gesturing to the Jeep. He looked at Grey who was in the driver's seat. "Turn it over."
Grey turned the key and to everyone's amazement and relief, the Jeep roared to life.
"It works!" Grey cheered.
Zach and Dana laughed together as he flipped the hood of the Jeep down, and hopped into the driver's seat while Jules hesitated, Grey got into the back.
Grey spoke up first, ""I thought you failed your driver's test?" He asked hesitantly.
"Only the driving part." Replied Zach cheekily.
"Wait a minute, what?" Dana yelled. "You failed the driving portion? I'm gonna die. I survived a dinosaur attack. Hell no, shove over, Mitchell." Zach pouted pitifully and grumbled like a petulant child before he moved when her glare intensified. "Fine."
She carefully backed out of the ancient garage and started the journey back to the park. They drove in relative silence for a few moments with the occasional comment from a very salty Zach, Grey spoke up, "Dana?" She hummed to show that she was listening, "You're my hero." She laughed loudly, "I do try, my young padawan."
"Oh, Star Wars jokes, it's like I made you in a computer. Marry me." Zach said, holding his hands out as if he held a ring box. They laughed and continued to drive, all of them trying to forget where they were and hope that it wouldn't get any worse.
