I glanced over at the dock when I seen a big crowd of people and who looked to be Noah on the ground.
"Audrey, is that Noah?" I asked pointing to the dock. Audrey stood up quickly and ran over to the dock, me following her.
"Noah? Noah?" Audrey asked running up to the guy who I was correct was Noah.
He was drenched from head to toe and was coughing. I helped Audrey pull Noah up, him leaning against us.
"Thanks, Emma your friends are really great." Audrey said sarcastically, continuing to walk away.
I helped Noah into the back seat before sitting down next to him and pulling the blanket around him tighter. He was still shivering.
"I'm so sorry Noah. I should have never went." Audrey apologized driving the car down the road. "No. It's fine."
~~~~~~
"Are you sure it's okay?" I asked my sister. Audrey smiled back at me. "Of course. I've told her a lot about you and she said she even wanted to meet you." Audrey told me stepping out of the car.
I followed Audrey up to the door and was greeted by a blonde girl who I assumed was Rachel.
"Is this Dakota? I don't know how she could be adopted she looks just like you." Rachel said taking us up to her room.
"Well got adoption papers to prove it." I said with a laugh. Rachel smiled taking us out to the patio from her room and sitting in a chair.
"How was the party?" Rachel asked Audrey. "Well Noah is still coughing up lake water. I shouldn't have gone. I would have asked you to go but... You know." Audrey said. "No you had to go. I would have never been able to walk into that party after what happened."
I frowned. "Don't you dare call yourself ugly Rachel because you're not. You are beautiful and smart." I told Rachel who gave me a half smile. "Thanks but I'm really not, Dakota." Rachel told me. "Rachel-" I warned. "Fine."
"Well we need to go. Kota needs to take her meds and dad is gonna flip out." Audrey stood up before taking me out to the car.
