Katie's POV:
"Katie, I'm sure its fine!" My best friend Mackenzie kept reassuring me . "Katie, he really likes you, what makes you think he wants to break up with you? Just because he didn't stop and say hi to you in passing?" She continued as we ran our laps during practice.
"Yeah...I guess you're right Mack. It's probably nothing." We finished practice. As i was walking back to my dorm room Jacob texted me wanting me to meet him at our bench.
An hour later i was there, but he wasn't. I waited for twenty minutes and he still wasn't there...I just knew he wasn't going to make it... I started to cry, and then, there he was standing there in front of me holding a tulip, my favorite flower. I got up and ran to him and hugged him.
"Jacob, I am so sorry if i did anything i did or said upset you!" I cried into his shoulder. i felt him lift my face and wipe my cheek."Oh Katie...I am so sorry if that's what you thought sweetie, you didn't do anything. It wasn't you. I was just planning this." Then he kissed me, and it was like he would never see or be with me ever again. Then he just hugged me. We stayed that way for a while. Then he said something to me that i would never forget. "Katie, I knew from the moment i saw you that i wanted to spend the rest of my life being with you and making you laugh and smile. Katie, I
love you." He smiled that sweet smile and i could tell he really did care about me and loved me. I was so overwhelmed by this that all i could do was cry and hug him. Then finally i got out the words i wanted to say to him.
" Jacob, I love you too." He smiled and hugged me.As the months passed Jacob and i did everything together. He helped me with studying for my finals, and i helped him too. There was one fall day he had a soccer game and it got cancelled because of rain, so we went on a little road trip. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, he just kept telling me it was a surprise because it was my birthday. We pulled up to this really adorable cottage house.
"Oh Jacob! This is so cute! Do you know someone who lives here?" I asked not really sure what was going on.
"You could say that." He had a bit of a smirk on his face and i could tell something was going on. As we got out of the car i got a whiff of all kinds of flowers all around us, mostly wildflowers. When i walked to the door i was about to knock when i saw Jacob just start to open the door. "Wait! Shouldn't we knock? What if the people who live here aren't home?" I asked grabbing his arm.
He laughed and held my hand and led me inside. "Jacob! Wait!" I shouted just then i heard a familiar voice behind me and i knew it couldn't be real. I turned around slowly and saw my mother and father standing side by side right behind me. I let go of Jacobs hand and hugged them both. I hadn't seen them in almost six months and i didn't think i'd make it home for Thanksgiving. In the process of seeing my parents some more of my family came out of nowhere in this little house! My brothers, a few of my cousins, and my granddad, who i think i missed the most, and with all of that, i lost Jacob. I couldn't find him anywhere until my brother Jack told me to go check in the backyard. I was definitely not prepared for what i had found when i went out there.
