Jacobs POV:

It was Katie's birthday and so i thought it was time to give her her surprise. After we got to the cottage and we went into the house i had her family come up to surprise her because she wasn't going to get to go home for Thanksgiving, so i brought them to her. After she saw them and started talking to everyone, that was my que to go set up everything outside. Her brother Matthew is in the Navy and he came too, and he helped me set up outside. When i saw her walking outside, i caught her eye and saw her smile at me.
"This is so amazing. How do I even deserve you?" She smiled walking over to me.

"Well, there are still a few more surprises." I kissed her cheek as she smiled.

"What surprises? You didn't have to do that." She smiled.

"Well, we've been together a while now, and i've known since the minute i saw you sitting on that bench that i wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, making you smile, making you laugh, being with you through good times and bad, raising our kids together, everything. So with that," I knelt down and held out a ring," Katie Elizabeth, will you do me the honor of making me the happiest man in the world? Will You Marry Me?" I looked up into her beautiful green eyes and i could see tears forming. "Oh, baby, don't cry." I stood up and hugged her tightly. "Why are you crying?"

"Because, i love you, and I'm happy." She said into my shoulder.

"So is that a yes?" I asked hopefully.

she nodded and then i started to cry. I put the ring on her finger and kissed her. "I love you so much Katie."
Then her family all came out and hugged us and congratulated us too. A few hours later i thought it was time to tell her the other surprises.

"So, remember when you asked me if i knew who lived here?" We were sitting on the front porch with her family.
"Yeah, and you said 'You could say that' What does that even mean? She asked through laughter. I pulled a key out of my pocket in front of her face. "It's our house Katie." She squealed so loudly i think it scared a bunny rabbit in the woods. I was happy to make her so excited and happy.
