The Beginning Of Forever

Chapter 7 Glasgow

Jacobs POV 

As i walked down the rainy streets of Glasgow I couldn't help but kick myself for leaving Katie the way i did, and now she won't answer my calls or texts. I was walking with my oldest brother Kyle "Ky, i dont know what I'm gonna do now...i probably just ruined everything with Katie, and she probably hates me." 

"Okay, that's enough Jake." Kyle stopped and stood in front of me. 

"What?" I was confused 

"You have been moping around for the past week. If you are this torn up about this go home. We'll be fine here. Katie obviously means something to you." He had a point but he didn't know we were engaged yet.  "If you love her as much as you say you do then you need to propose." I looked at him with a bit of a grin on my face "Holy shit Jake, you proposed didn't you?" He smiled and hugged me, "Congrats man! I'm proud of you baby bro!" At about that time my phone rang and i saw that it was Katie's brother Dan. 

"Daniel? What's up? Is Katie okay?!" I felt like i was talking a million miles a minute. 

"Hey man, Katie's fine. But i need you to go to the airport and pick something up. We went you your Christmas gift from the family and it should be there by the time you make it to the airport." 

"Uh, okay. Thanks Dan. " As i hung up i apologized to Kyle and left for the airport. 

On my way to the airport I couldn't help but think about Katie and how sad i must have made her...maybe i did need to just go home to her. When i got to the airport i was walking through the terminal when i saw her, i almost didn't believe it, she was standing 50 feet away from me. 

"Katie?" I felt like i was moving in slow-motion, i saw her turn around to face me and in that moment i never felt so happy. We ran to each other and i picked her up and kissed her, like i never had before. 

"Wait, hang on, let me look at you." I could feel tears running down my cheeks and saw some rolling down Katies beautiful cheeks too, "I thought I'd never see you again, Katie, I am so sorry. God, its so good to see you." I put my hands on her face, i pulled her into my chest and we stood there right in the middle of the airport and held each other. 

When we got back to my brother Kyles house, my nieces had taken a liking to Katie, and so had Kyle and his wife Allie for that matter. 

I was in the kitchen with Kyle watching Katie play with Blair and Bonnie when Allie came up to me, "Jake. Earth to Jake." Allie giggled knocking me out of my trance, "When are you going to tell your parents about you two? They have a right to know, and your granddad has a right to meet his future granddaughter in law." 

"Allie is right Jake. You need to tell mum and dad." Ky said putting an arm around his wife. 

"Yeah. I know, I plan on telling them tomorrow. But for now, I want to just enjoy this time with the love of my life. Thanks again for letting us stay here." 

"Its no problem Jake. Kyle and the girls and i are happy to have you both." Allie smiled sweetly. "well, we better get the girls to bed." Allie and Kyle left me alone in the kitchen and went to get the girls. Katie came over to me and i put my hands on her hips and pulled her into me and kissed her gently. "Are you ready to go to bed babe?" Katie nodded and put her head on my chest. I took her hand in mine and we went to bed. I was beginning to get nervous about tomorrow.
