My breath ghosted out in front of me
Clinging to the shape that should be there—but isn't.
I leaned my head back, closing my eyes
as the wind teased against my face in false kisses
Fat flakes of unsubstantial snow caressed my eyelashes
I made a wish in the black cold world
wishing for you.
Lips fall open in a sigh
Drops of innocence fall daintily on my tongue
Eyes open to a world washed whimsically in white
While my heart still hides in the dark.
