As I got off the plane, I went to meet my Aunt Veca in the front. I got my luggage and headed outside. I spent at least ten minutes looking for her car when my phone started to buzz. I pull it out to see that I have a text from her.
Carter is coming to get you, I got held up in work and should be home around nine.
I look at the time on my phone to see that it's already five in the afternoon. Carter is my cousin and I really like him. Him and Sadey, my other cousin, came to visit a few times in Boston a couple years back.
About five minutes after that, I spot Carter in a red Mercedes. He pulls up to the curb and I put my stuff in the trunk and climb into the passenger seat.
"Hey, Molly! I haven't seen you in so long. How are you?" he asks as he starts to drive.
"I'm pretty good. How about you? How have you and Sadey been?" I ask back.
"We've been great. Sadey moved in with her boyfriend, so it'll just be you, me and my mum." He explains to me. "How was your flight?" he asks.
"Horrid." I simply reply.
"What happened?" he laughs at me.
"I sat next to this ego-filled jerk the whole time." I complain to him.
"Oh that's no good. Who was he? Does he live here?" Carter asks.
"It was Ayden Carson, you know, from that one band that I can never seem to remember the name of." I simply said back to him, annoyed with myself for never remembering the name.
"Seriously? No way. Me and him are bros! He lives a couple blocks away." My heart stopped as he said that. This can't be good at all.
"Oh no. This is going to be a living nightmare."

It's now about five in the morning and I can't sleep because of jet-lag. I've been up all night just thinking and on the phone with Katie, but then she had to go to some family dinner. Now it's just me sitting here out on the balcony waiting for the sun to rise.
I start to think I'm getting tired just when my phone starts to ring.
"Hello?" I answer before I look at the caller ID.
"Molly! Hey." A familiar voice says. Wait, I know that voice. Oh no.
"How did you get my number?!" I almost yell into the phone. I take the phone away from my ear to look at the caller ID; it says Ayden. "And how did I get yours?" I demanded.
"I put it in while you were asleep." He simply says. Oh my god, that's weird.
"That's weird. I suggest if you ever want to get a girlfriend, don't ever do that. Ever." I pause. "So listen, apparently you and my cousin are friends, but when you guys hang out, I want you to stay away from me." I sternly say into the phone.
"Who's your cousin?" he questions.
"Carter."
"Oh, Carter! He's great. What are you even doing up this late?" he quickly says, avoiding my demand.
"Jet-lag." I simply reply.
"Me too. Listen, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to... you know... go out? You know... like on a date." He stutters.
"Ayden Carson, are you asking me out?" I say, softly into the phone.
"Uhh," he stutters again. Wow, I've never seen him so nervous. He seemed so confident on the flight while he was quote on quote "sleeping with me". What happened to that Ayden? Right as I was about to answer, I hear Carter.
