"Carter?" I ask when I get inside the house. I'm wondering if Carter went somewhere because I don't see him anywhere here.

"You're home. Who gave you a ride?" I hear Carter ask as he walks out of his room.

"A friend from school." I lie.

"Oh, you made a friend, that's good. How was your day? Do a lot of running in P.E.? You were breathing pretty hard when I rang you. I'm guessing P.E. is your last class." Carter assumes.

"Yeah, the coach sure made us run a lot." I lie and laugh to myself.

"That's good. Hey, I'm going to my friend Kaley's house; I'll be home around eight." He says as he grabs his keys and heads for the door. "My mum should be home in a few hours, she gets off work at seven." He tells me.

"Alright. Have fun at Kaley's." I wink at him. He rolls his eyes and shuts the door behind him. I walk to my room and sit down on my bed, pulling out the homework that I have. I have math and history, yay.

After I finish my history homework, I take out my math and realise that I forgot my math book at Ayden's flat. Shit. I put my homework away and decide to ring Katie; I haven't talked to her since yesterday. I dial her number, but it goes to voicemail after two rings. A couple minutes later, I get a text from her.

Can't talk, in chem.

Oh, right. I forgot, she's still in school. It's only noon there.

Ring me at lunch, I need to talk to you.

I hit send and lie back on my bed. My phone buzzing on my stomach wakes me from the nap I didn't know I was taking.

"Hello?" I barely say.

"Hey, what do you need to talk about?" I hear Katie say on the other end. "Are you that tired? It can't be that late there." She talks again.

"No, I just woke up from a nap. But yeah listen, I need to tell you something that you will not believe." I tell her as I slowly sit up.

"What is it?" she curiously asks.

"You know that one band... fuck I forgot the name, but it has that one guy in it, Ayden Carson?" I ask her.

"State of Fire," that's it. "Yeah, what about him?" she questions.

"I sat next to him on the flight over here and it turns out he's friends with my cousin and-"

"What?! That's crazy! That's awesome! Did he flirt with you? Did you like it? Do you fancy him? Does he fancy you?" too many questions.

"What? No. I do not fancy him. I have to tell you something that you can't tell anyone. And I mean absolutely no one. Not Nathan and not Rosie, she's a huge fan of them, remember?" I tell her. Rosie is her sister whom she's quite close with.

"What is it?" she eagerly asks.

"He kissed me. Today, he took me to his flat and he told me that I was the most beautiful girl he's ever laid his eyes on and then he danced with me then he kissed me, hard." I quickly say to her.

"What?!" she yells into the phone. "Oh my god! So he does fancy you!" she yells again. I turn the volume down on my phone; just talking about Ayden gives me a headache. "Did you like it?" she asks.

"No. I mean yes. I mean I don't know. I would've liked it if he wasn't such an asshole. He's extremely sexy, but his personality is ugly. It's bad." I tell her.

"Well shit. I mean, didn't you guys just meet? And he's already kissing you?" she questions.

"Well he watches me and Nathan's videos, if that counts for anything." I look out my door to see if Veca is home yet and I hear the door unlock.
