Luke's POV
I leaned back against the door of my trailer. I had two hours until I was supposed to play at my concert in my hometown Mountain Ridge but truthfully I really didn't want to. The banging on the door grew louder as my manager tried to get me out. Finally he gave up and left me alone. I heaved a sigh of relief. Sometimes being Luke Watson of alpha and omega was tiring. Don't get me wrong or anything, I love my job and my band, but here I was twenty-one years old and I still didn't have a mate. Yeah I'm a werewolf and my band and crew members are my pack. I'd been dreaming of meeting my mate since I was a pup but the years just kept passing and I was still single. "Luke we're on in five." My manager's shout brought me out of my musings. I put on my fake smile and walked out towards the stage. Grinning I walked up to the rest of my band who were busy talking among themselves. "Ready to put on a show?" I asked them while fist bumping with my beta and guitarist Josh Dremner. They nodded and turned to their mates to say bye one last time before performing. I turned away swallowing the bitterness I felt building in my chest. Why me? I thought. I'm the oldest member of my band and the alpha of my small pack and the only one with out a mate with the exception of Josh. Putting my smile back on my face I walked out onto the stage and was hit by the most amazing smell you could imagine. I nearly moaned as the sweet smell of vanilla hit me and my wolf went crazy. Mate, he chanted over and over again in my head. 'What?' I questioned him but he just kept chanting mate. Pushing him to the back of my head I looked out into the audience. "Who's ready for some music?" I yelled at the crowd and they all screamed back. Nodding to my band who had joined me, we started to play. However I could hardly concentrate on anything but the smell. During the last song before our fifteen minute break, I happened to glance out at the people in the front. My gaze landed on a boy of about eighteen a couple yards away. I don't know what it was about him that made me stare at him but I could bring myself to look away. He had brown hair that reached just past his ears and curled slightly at the ends. His white jeans and black t-shirt fit him perfectly. Then he looked straight at me and I thought I was going to mess up my song. Bright blue eyes. They were stunning and nearly took my breath away. By now the song was almost over and I had somehow managed to not make a mistake, but my wolf was going crazy. Mate, mate, mate, he kept chanting. The song finally ended and the host came on stage to dismiss everyone for fifteen minutes an I ran backstage. Grabbing the nearest crew member, I described the boy to here and his whereabouts then asked for him to be brought to me. She raised her eyebrow but thankfully didn't question me and went to do as I had asked. Grinning as I pictured him I nearly had a heart attack when someone tapped my shoulder. Whipping around I came face to face with a smirking Josh. I looked at him suspiciously. His smirk grew. "So who's the lucky chic?" I choked on air. "I-I don't know what you're talking about Josh." I managed to choke out. "Don't try to deny it Luke. I've seen the other members find their mates and I have seen that look before. So who's the lucky girl that gets to claim you?" That's when it hit me, I don't have a female mate. My mate is a guy. Wait, my MATE is a GUY!? An alpha with a male mate? No way! That's scandalous. I can't possibly have a male mate. "I'm serious Josh. There is no girl." He just raised his eyebrow and looked at me sceptically. "Yeah and I'm a cat." He said sarcastically and I shot him a glare. I was about to answer him when someone cleared their throat and the scent of vanilla hit me again. I turned around slowly to face the most beautiful guy I had ever seen.
