Luke's POV
Ollie was now well into his final month and I was starting to grow anxious about him doing anything strenuous. We had talked to Rose about the birthing process and honestly it didn't sound all that safe. Apparently the male's body will create a birth canal that will close in a few days after the birth. Both Rose and Ollie had assured that it was fine but I wasn't convinced. I had been present during the birth of one of my pack members and honestly I had no clue how the woman had done it, and here Ollie was, soon to give birth and to twins at that. So here I was, worrying and fretting about him going out with Kayla even if it was only for an hour. He had left half an hour ago and I had stationed myself beside the phone just in case. Josh walked in the kitchen and smirked at me sitting at the counter beside the phone with my cellphone lying beside it. I just scowled. "Hey Luke, chill dude, he'll be fi-" the ringing of the phone cut him off mid sentence and had me scrambling for the phone. "Hello?" I asked in the calmest manner I could muster. "LUKE! Where have you been?! We've been getting calls nonstop from fans asking where the hell you are! Don't make any excuses! I'm on my way and we'll discuss this when I get there!" The line went dead as Kyler, the band's manager, hung up. I sat for a few seconds in silence trying to comprehend what he had just said. "Luke! Hey Luke! LUKE!" Josh yelled snapping me out of my trance. "It was just our manager Kyler. He's coming over right now because we haven't been showing up to any of our practices and meetings." I said, my voice monotone and no expression on my face. "Yeah? What's so bad about that?" Josh asked innocently and I finally felt my emotions return. "Josh, how are we going to explain Ollie's condition to Kyler? He's a human remember?" I said feeling slightly irritated and Josh visibly paled. We sat in silence, lamenting over our situation but not coming up with anything until the doorbell rang. We both jumped up and Josh raced to answer the door. "Hey Kyler! What can I do for you?" Josh asked trying to feign surprise. "Cut out the crap, Joshua. Where's Luke?" I flinched, Josh hated being called Joshua and I knew that if I didn't make an appearance soon it was going to get ugly. Sighing I forced myself to walk over to the living room. "Good afternoon Kyler. Please have a seat." I said as politely as I could. He scowled, but sat down on the couch anyway. The phone rang again and this time Josh went to answer it. "Alright, care to explain what on earth is going on here?" He asked and I was opening my mouth to make up some lie when Josh came skittering back into the room looking panicked. "What is the meaning of this Josh?" Kyler asked with a deep scowl, but Josh ignored him and turned to me. "It's Ollie! Kayla said it's time and she's bringing him home." He gasped out and my eyes grew wide an I felt the blood drain from my face. "GET ROSE!" I yelled and Josh ran, screaming for Rose as he went. "What's going on here? Who is Ollie?" Kyler asked looking bewildered, however I didn't have time to answer him as Kayla's car pulled into our drive. I ran out the door and Kayla met me halfway to the car. " I didn't know what was happening. He was complaining of back pains and then he started crying out and I realized he was in labour, so I brought him back." She said sobbing. Josh came running out just then and I nodded towards Kayla. Josh immediately went to her side and carried her into the house. Once I saw that she was safely inside I ran the rest of the way to car and went around to Ollie's side. He was moaning and clutching the seat. "Hey babe, come on I'm going to take you into see Rose." I said gently unbuckling his seatbelt. He relaxed for a moment and helped pull himself out of the car. I had just gotten him out when he froze and grabbed at his stomach. "Babe, what's wrong?" I asked, panic rising up in my chest. "I think we'd better go. My water just broke." He said calmly. I gasped, then picked him up and ran to Rose's office. She was already in the room pulling out her instruments. As soon as she heard us run into the room she turned to face us. "Luke, I need you to take Ollie and get him changed into this." She said seriously, handing me a blue hospital gown. Once I had got him changed I brought him back over to her. "Lay him down on the bed." Rose spoke without turning around. Pulling on gloves, she turned to face us. "Okay I'm going to check how far you've dilated." She said, then lifted Ollie's gown to check. Quickly standing up, she walked over to the door. Opening it she yelled for Josh. Not two seconds later he came bounding in and quickly closing the door behind him. "Josh get on Ollie's right side and lift his leg. Luke do the same on his left." Rose waited until we were in position, then turned to look at Ollie. "Okay Ollie honey, on the count of three I want you to push." She said and Ollie nodded. "One... Two... Three. Push!" Ollie struggled and let out a cry. "Good boy. I can see your baby's head. You just need to push once more. Luke Luke do you want to come catch the baby?" I looked down at Ollie who nodded at me. Swallowing hard, I let go of him and another nurse who I hadn't noticed before, took over my position as I went to stand next to Rose. Rose showed me where to put my hands, then lifted her head to look at Ollie. "Okay sweetie, I need one more big push." Ollie nodded, then proceeded to push with all his might. He let out a strangled cry that broke my heart, but I didn't have the chance to comfort him as I was now holding our son. Ollie's cry died out and our son took a deep breath before letting out an ear piercing scream. I smiled and looked up at Ollie. He gave me a tired smile, but his smile soon turned to a grimace of pain. I glanced down at Rose quickly. "Okay Ollie, that's one. Now push again okay?" He pushed then fell back on the bed. "Good job hun. Now one more big push, he's almost there." Ollie opened his tear-filled eyes. "I can't." He sobbed and I moved to stand beside him still cradling our first son. Squeezing his hand with my free one I smiled down at him. "Babe, you can do it. It's only one more push." I said encouragingly and he sat back up. He cried out for the second time and soon the cries of another baby filled the air. I gave a sigh of relief. It was over.
