Chapter 6

Luke's POV
Mate! I had finally found my mate! Sure he was a guy, but hey, he was still my mate. I couldn't keep the grin off my face as I watched him drag his friend away. He turned to look at me one last time and I blew him a kiss. He blushed and looked ahead quickly. I chuckled and made my way over to my band/pack was standing. As I approached them I noticed Josh staring at me. Casting a questioning look to him, he winked back and I knew that he knew. As soon as I reached them, Rose, my drummer, stopped talking and started sniffing me. When she got to my shoulder, she stopped and pulled down my shirt, then jumped back as if she'd been stung. Looking up at me with wide eyes, I glanced away from Rose and noticed everyone staring at me in confusion. "I can't believe it Alpha. You found your mate?!" Rose gasped out finally and every pack member froze. "Haha umm yeah I did." I said scratching the back of my neck awkwardly. My pack began cheering and swarming me. "So when do we get to meet the lucky girl?" My pianist, John asked. I gulped while Josh snorted. "There isn't a girl." He said looking amused at the confused expressions of the other pack members. I'm lucky to have such an understanding beta.  He had even congratulated me on finding my mate after he had gotten over his initial shock. "What? But he has a mark and everything! I saw it!" Rose protested. "He did find his mate, however, there is definitely no girl." I rolled my eyes at Josh's explanation. Now my pack just looked confused, especially John. "What Josh means to say is that my mate is a guy. A seriously hot guy, but he is a guy." Josh smirk as I spoke the last bit while my pack tried to digest this new information. Everyone remained silent while I waited anxiously for them to decide what their verdict would be. "Well, when are we going to meet him then. He is our Luna after all." Rose yelled at me jumping up and down in excitement while the rest of the pack nodded along with her. "So you're all okay with my mate being a guy?" I asked amazed. "Of course we don't care! So what if it's a guy. He was chosen as your mate so we should accept that." Rose's mate Rick declared and the rest of the pack nodded in agreement. I let out the breath I had been holding and felt tears coming to my eyes. "Thanks guys." My voice broke and Josh patted me on the back. My pack is the best. Now I just hope that Ollie's pack accepts this too.
