At the gates of Davenport...

"I remember the two of you. You both lost your parents in a paranormal activity one 6 or 7 years ago. You both were very young and you were taken in by your uncle since that night," the landlord said, trying to search in our eyes.

As twins, you would think we'd be the same as the other but that's not really the case. Lisa is the more open, outspoken twin while I'm the silent, obedient type. Therefore, it's usually Lisa that would do most of the talking and asking when we're both out on missions like the one we're on.

"That's right. It wasn't easy taking the road we chose to take and getting to where we are now," says Lisa, cautiously.

"Not meaning to be rude or anything but, may we please get straight to what our mission here is?" I asked, stiff from feeling uncomfortable, awkward and wary from being back in our passed.

"Ah yes, of course. Very well," says the Landlord and recomposes himself.

"Now, allow me to tell you about the job,"he begins. "About nearly 5 days ago, in the middle of the afternoon, a farmer came rushing to me and informed that something had happened in the fields and that his son and one of his horses had been found covered in blood and his son barely still alive but shaken by whatever attacked him. On the son's back, there were claw marks etched all over and the bite marks on the horse appear to belong to some sort of animal, and there bits of black fur smeared along with the claw marks. We don't know what kind of animal could've done it, but we knew fully well that we couldn't just go deep in the woods ourselves. That's why I contacted the head of the paranormal activity secret group in hopes of getting help. When I scrolled down the list of warriors, healers and hunters/night patrollers, that's when I saw that you two were involved."

"I think I'm starting to get the whole picture of the situation. But seeing us isn't the only reason why you chose our team for this mission. I'm assuming there's something more to it than that. Am I wrong?"I presumed.

"Yes, that's correct,"the landlord confirmed.

"I see. Well then, I suppose we better get to work,"I said, getting up not wanting to hear anymore about why we were chosen for this mission.

Flashback to 7 years ago....

"Get up!! Clean up this mess,"our uncle growled at me and left me alone in the room to clean up after him.

"It's not my fault for making this mess..I'm not his keeper or his house maid.." I said, in a low voice, frustrated with him.

"Why am I the one who has to clean after him? I'm a child and as the adult,he should be the cleaning after himself and be raising us. So, why"I whisper to myself.

"Someday, when I get us out of this place, get a job for ourselves and live a life of our own, we will never have to live in constant fear of him or be controlled by him. I'll make sure of it," I vowed, determined.

End of flashback...

"I won't be reminded of the passed. We've got a mission to get done and the mission is our first priority. Time for me to go to work,"I muttered to myself, snapping out of the memories.
