tension

It was now mid-August and it had been three weeks since we brought Maxlin home from the hospital. I graduated in June with my BS in Mass Media and Communications and a minor in business. I was well on my way to becoming a account director. I completed a internship for free with a company in Maryland and since I was a big help it became a paid internship.
Now that we were back in New York, I was put on to a company here. It worked out well for me and it was something I enjoyed doing.
Besides that things around here were a little shaky. After Rih being stable she suffered from two more seizures. She indeed had eclampsia after the birth but luckily we didn't lose her and she's doing well. As far as Maxlin, he had to stay in the hospital up until three weeks ago. He was gaining weight and doing better. We were still getting adjusted to him being around.
Now that we were back living in the old place it felt weird that Dre wasn't here. Since there were only two bedrooms we definitely were going to end up needing more space but we were making it work.
I moved into Dre's room and moved Ni's bed in there with me, Rih remained in her room with the baby. While Manny and Trey stayed on the pull out couches.
Trey starts back working at the center again when school starts back which is next month. For now he was just working at the auto shop with uncle Myles and Manny. Since he was accepted into NYU last year and he graduated early he deferred his enrollment. He'll be in school starting Monday.
He was majoring in chemistry. He didn't know whether or not he wanted to be a teacher or work in the medical field.
Arihah found out she would be able to graduate early. She only had three classes this year which meant she'll be leaving school early and after finals in December she wouldn't have to walk back into the school until graduation rehearsal. She handled things with the store when it came to the online stuff. Her and I or just one of us would go to the store once or twice a week to check on things.
Manny was stilling working with uncle Myles at the auto shop and he worked three days out the week at the store. He loved working with cars and was talking about opening him a shop up one day.
Things with us in the house was going alright. Everyone was in their own lane grinding.
But in the midst of it all was the drama. Drelin's killer was yet to be found but Myles and Jason along with the other uncles were coming together. After getting rid of Rih & Trey's old phones the messages stopped coming. We all ended up getting new phones just to be safe.
Dad was supposed to be getting out in March of next year but at this point we didn't know anymore. He might not get out until March of 2018 instead. It upset all of us and I know he feels defeated. On top of that visitations were cut for us so we communicate over video chat, the phone, and email.
"Ni! Your aunt want you, go to her room." I heard Trey's voice.
I was in the kitchen sitting at the table doing paperwork for work while Ni was in the bed watching Sunny Anderson's cooking show, Cooking For Real. She took a liking to cooking videos and television shows. I had no problem with it because she was learning something and it was beneficial to her.
