"Alright! This is going to be fun!" I grabbed her hand and twirled her, she laughed. Ooh my second sister - sister moment, even though she isn't my sister I feel like she is. As we walked to my room I wanted to ask her something, "can I ask you something?" I asked. She nodded "you said you didn't have a mom, if you don't mind me asking what happened?"

"I don't mind, from what my dad tells me her name is Dianna or something, but anyways she was in a marriage or a break up or I don't know she met my dad and they danced and I was created, and when I was brought into the world Dianna and Dad fought over custody but Dianna had like 2 or 3 other kids so the judge gave my dad custody and my mom wasn't allowed to see me until I was 15, but she hasn't come for me." She shrugged. "Weird, my moms name is Dianna and I'm sorry sweetheart." I hugged her and she hugged me back. "Don't be it's not your fault." She smiled. "Okay, so wait here." I smiled.

I got up and got a pad and a tampon from my bathroom. "Okay first tell what you know about a period." I smiled. She raised an eyebrow "I know nothing." She smiled. Oh sheesh, "okay so, it's difficult to explain without like scaring you and plus it's not my place to have other talks with you, it's your dads but like a period is when a woman's body releases tissue it no longer needs. This tissue comes from the uterus, which is where a baby can develop in the female body. Every month or so, the uterus lining gets thicker to prepare for a fertilized egg if the woman becomes pregnant. If the egg doesn't get fertilized, that lining is released from the body as blood through the choocie. This monthly process is called menstruation or a period.. So this happens every month until your like 50. But at first your period will be all over the place, but as you grow it becomes more regular. Get it?" I smiled. She looked at me "yeah, I do. That's cool though like how our body works like that, it just knows and is like hey fam! It's a new month!" She giggled.

"Demi, your gonna make a good mom one day." She smiled. "God I can't!" I grabbed her and wrapped my arms around her. I kissed her forehead and we laid down, this wasn't weird, I have known this girl for a month, and I just have this connection with her, I don't know how to explain it. She cuddled next to me "so what's a pad and a tampon?" She asked. "Okay, so this is a pad. It's like a diaper." I handed her the pad and she sat up. "See this is what I needed, not that sword thing." She smiled. "Yeah- this sword thing is a tampon and you use it when you swim or just don't want to use a pad because it's cleaner, but you should never sleep with one in you. It's bad."

"Demi thank you so much, I'm so thankful for you." I smiled hugging her. "No problem kiddo. This was fun, we got stuff cleaned and had an eventful conversation." She smiled. "What time should I be over tomorrow, because it's Saturday." I smiled. "Oh wait." She said running to her purse. She pulled out her wallet and handed me money. My mouth dropped open "holy fuck, $150! Demi that's crazy!You only gave me $100 2 weeks ago. You don't need to give me this, I only need like $10 dollars." I laughed. "Nope your taking it."

Then my phone went off

From: dad
Where are you little fuck! I told you if you were home after school id fuck you up! I went to Esters house and you weren't there, I swear to fuck if your at Demis. If I find out where she lives and I see you, your fucked.

I began to breathe hard "Demi, can you drive me somewhere?" I asked. "Sure sweetheart." She smiled grabbing her car keys. We walked to her car and I got in the front. "Okay, drive straight then from here take a left." I said. She nodded and turned on the radio. Demis driving was scary as hell "oh my god Demi! Slow down!" I freaked out. "Where did you learn to drive!"

She laughed "Dallas Texas, I had to take the written part of the drivers test, but I just signed an autograph." Demi laughed. "Okay right here." She pulled her car to side and I saw my dads car. "Oh my god." I looked at the car and I saw the door open. "Demi drive." I said. "What? Why?"

"DEMI JUST DRIVE!" I screamed louder as I saw my dad walk outside. She stepped on the gas and I began to hyperventilate. I began to sob I brought my knees to my chest

"Stop it stop it!" I cried putting my hands over my ears. I could feel his cold hands all over me, touching me. Demis car came to a stop, "Rebecca! Look at me!" Demi yelled grabbing my hands snapping me out of my thoughts. She unbuckled my seat belt and brought me over to her seat. Sat sat me down on her lap, my head resting on her chest. She opened the her car door and picked me up. I silently sobbed and soaked her t-shirt in my tears. All of a sudden it was dark then there was light.

She sat me down on the couch "no! Please don't leave me!" I cried. "I'm not, I'm not, I'm here." She panicked. Demi held me and rubbed my back in circles calming me down.
