Zoey's POV:
We picked up some food from Hungry Jack on our way to Liz's house. We walk inside and to the dining room table. I'm carrying the food and my drink, Alice is carrying hers and Luke's drinks and Luke is carrying the shopping bags. I set the food on the table.

"I'm going to bring this up to my room." He tells me, giving me a kiss.

"Okay." I tell him and he walks off. I walk to the kitchen right next to the dining room and grab three plates.

"I'm glad you and Luke are back together." Alice tells me.

"Me too. I hope we last this time around." I tell her.

"Me too. You two were made for each other." She says and I smile. She looks at her phone and sighs.

"What is it?" I ask her, sitting down at the table. She sits on the chair next to me.

"Michael keeps texting me." She states.

"Oh. You don't want him to text you?" I ask her, a tad confused by her reaction.

"Not really. I mean, he's sweet and cute and funny, but it's almost like he's obsessed with me." She says and I smile a small smile at her.

"And you don't like him?" I clarify.

"I mean, I do, but I've gone through so much. I just don't want to do anything with anyone. How do I tell him that?" She says and I sigh.

"Sometimes you just have to be honest with him." I tell her.

"But he's sensitive. I don't want to hurt his feelings." She frowns.

"He is sensitive, but not telling him will hurt him even more." I tell her.

"Okay. I'll talk to him tomorrow." She says and I nod.

"Talk to who now?" Luke asks as he enters the dining room.

"Nothing, nosey!" I tease as he sits across from me. He laughs.

"Does Ali have a secret boyfriend?" He presses playfully and I swat his arm.

"This is girl talk. Last I checked, you weren't a girl." I joke.

"It's been a while since you checked." He smirks and my eyes widen.

"Luke!" I scold. Alice is right there! He laughs at me, grabbing his burger and fries, setting them on his plate.

"Well, whoever he is, he better treat you right or I'll meet him in a dark alley with a baseball bat." He says and Alice and I laugh.

"I don't have a boyfriend." She says.

"No? Good." He states. He's like her protective older brother.

"So, Alice..." I begin, taking a bite of my veggie burger.

"Luke and I wanted to talk to you about school. I know it will be hard, but you can't get too far behind." I state and she nods.

"I think I'm ready. You're right, it is going to be hard, but I can handle it." She says confidently.

"Great! Tomorrow is Saturday, so we'll go in on Monday to get you enrolled." I tell her.

"Okay." She smiles

...

Alice is in her room watching a movie and Luke and I are in his room. He wants to show me the stuff he bought me.

"Babe, lay on the bed. I'll hand you a bag at a time." He instructs, so I climbinto the bed.

"Let's start with Macy's." He says, handing me a bag. I look through it andpull out skinny jeans and tops that are surprisingly cute. Then I realize thatI was just looking at these earlier when we were walking through Macy's. Ihadn't realized that he paid attention. He hands me another Macy's bag. It'sall more stuff that I was looking at while we were walking.
