the new girl

chapter 6

I put my arm around Kiley's shoulder, an old habit I still apparently have, as we walk through the gates of our school. It's 7:45, fifteen minutes until school starts.

"Wow!" Kiley starts, "Are all schools in Seoul this big?" "TAYLOR!!" I hear someone yell. Turning my head, I see j-hope running towards me with the guys calmly walking behind him. I turn to him, my arm still on Kiley's shoulder and whisper, "He's really energetic."

J-hope stops in front of us, the rest of them stopping shortly after, " Hi!" He starts, " I'm Hoseok, or j-hope! It's nice to meet you!" "Hi! I'm Kiley. It's nice to meet you too!!" J-hope smiles widely and waves at me, I wave back.

"Hey. I'm jungkook...it's nice meeting you." He says calmly, "it's nice to meet you, jungkook!" Jin steps up and offers a hand to shake. She shakes his hand as he says, "I'm seokjin. You can call me jin, Taylor was talking about us meeting you yesterday! I didn't think it would be so soon though!"

He pulls away his hand as Kiley laughs, "it's nice to meet you jin!" "Hi! I'm Namjoon or rap monster, this is v or taehyung. And this is jimin. He's really short too, so don't feel bad!" Kiley waves to all of them as she laughs.

After she stops laughing she says, "It's nice to meet all of you!" "I'm actually not all that short." Jimin says. J-hope adds, "...but you're still short so.." I look over at suga, and notice he's staring at Kiley. Cute. I take my arm off of her shoulder and harshly push her towards him. Obviously, she trips, not into suga like I had originally hoped for but into jimin.

My eyes widen as she knocks him down, falling on top of him. The position they fell in looks extremely inappropriate, she straddling his waist as she leaned down. "Are you alright?" Jimin asks as she stands up, "I'm fine.." she replies. "Are you OK?" She asks as he stands up, "I'm great!" He exclaims.

As Kiley looks up she notices suga. "Hi!" She says, sticking her hand out for him to shake. He looks at her hand, then at her face saying, "Hi. I'm yoongi." And walks away. She slowly pulls her hand to her side as she turns around saying, "That was awkward..." and walks towards me.

V leans down and whispers in my ear, "I seen you push her." I look at him and reply, "She felt me push her." "Well clearly," he replies while rolling his eyes, "It's not like she softly tripped over a rock."

Kiley stands in front of me pouting and says, " Yoongi totally hates me.." I scoff and grab her hand, pulling her towards me so I could put my arm around her shoulder again. " I'm thinking about skipping school today." V says as he looks at j-hope.

J-hope sighs and says, "Fine. I'll cover for you." V looks at me and asks, "Do you want to skip with me Taylor?" "It's only my second day here, and I have to show Kiley around."

"It's OK!!" Kiley starts, "go with him! I'll ask someone else to show me around."  She says as she nudges me towards him. "I'll have suga show her around." Says J-hope, "suga..?" Kiley questions, " or Yoongi. He's fine with both." Jimin finishes.

"But..he's not here! And I have to get my uniform from the office! I still don't know where the principal's office is...how am I suppose to get there?" I walk away with v as I hear jin tell Kiley he would help her until suga offers to help her.

I turn around and see jin and Kiley walk into the school, along with all the other students as the school bell rang. V and I quickly walked out of the gates, heads down, hoping the teachers wouldn't see us. This was the first time I've ever skipped school and I'm so nervous.

I guess v could tell because he slows his fast pace down and starts a conversation with me, "So Taylor, where would you like to go? We have four hours to roam." I quickly look at him, "Only four..?" "Yep!" He replies, " Were going back at lunch, which would be 12, and it's a little past eight now. Four hours."

I think for a few moments about where I was to go, and look up just as I notice we're about to pass an ice cream shop. I look at v with hopeful eyes and ask, "can we go get ice cream while I think about where to go?" "Sure...."  he answers hesitantly.
