Chapter 14

I walk down the stairs, my practically dry hair cascading down my back. I step into the living room and see my mother and father sitting on opposite ends of the couch, looking at me sadly.

"Taylor.." My dad starts, "Sit down...we need to have a serious discussion." I felt my heart drop to my butthole and I start to seriously regret skipping school. I sit between them hesitantly and look at both of them.

"So.." i awkwardly start, "What's this about?" My mother sighs before saying, "Your father and I are getting a divorce." I blink rapidly before laughing in relief. I seriously thought I was in trouble there for a minute.

They look at me confused before my father yells, "AND JUST WHY DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY!?" I stand up as I calm myself down and say, "Sorry...I mean, I knew it was going to happen eventually. I just thought you called me down here for something important."

My mother looks at me, "Taylor.." she starts, "Your dad is moving out. You'll be staying with me, but you can still see him if you would like.." I wave them off saying, "Nah! I'm good with not seeing him."

I walk into the kitchen and start making ramen for Kiley and I, after the noodles boil I grab some silver wear and lay them in the bowls. Kiley walks through the door and I practically shove a bowl in her hands and drag her up the stairs.

As I close my door, I turn to Kiley with a serious expression. She looks at me curiously before asking, "What was that about..?" She shoves the noodles in her mouth with her fork and I quickly explain the situation about the divorce.

"And you're happy about this or..?" I sigh and stare at her saying, "Sometimes you're really dumb. Obviously this makes me happy. All they ever do is fight." Kiley nods as she shoves more noodles in her mouth.

She quickly finishes her food and hands me her bowl saying, "I'm going to take a shower. Hurry up and eat, your noodles are getting cold." As she runs to the bathroom I plop down on my bed and grab my remote, cutting on my TV.

I eat my food and watch 'I remember you'.

I run down the stairs to the door, not bothering to look through the peep hole to see who is was. For all I know, it could be a murderer. I unlock the door and open it, a glass screen door standing between me and this tall cutie.

"Can I help you?" I ask him, he looked six feet tall, fluffy brown hair, and piercing blue eyes and the whitest, straightest teeth, with dimples to go with his sweet smile. Stood beside him was a girl, about five foot three, with long blonde hair and big blue eyes. She was a petite girl who had her fingers interlocked with his.

'Oh! There together.' "Uhm...I'm Jacob. This is my girlfriend, Alex." She smiled and waved at me. I forced a smile and half-heartedly waved back. What do you expect? They interrupted my k-drama. "And..?" I asked, I don't care about your names. Like, what Are you here for?

"You really don't remember me?" The guy asks. I furrowed my eyebrows and went into deep thought, searching for anything familiar with the name Jacob. "I'm sorry, but no. I think you have the wrong girl and house." I say.

I go to close the door but he stopped me by continuing the conversation, "I moved in sixth grade? We were best friends? You always called me 'jakey'?" My eyes widen as I laugh and say, "Jakey!? Where have you been?" He chuckles a bit before he says, "Well..we go to the same school."

I leaned up against the door frame and reply, "What? Oh, do you guys want to come in?" They both nodded and walked in behind me, closing the door. As we walk into the living room, Jacob and Alex go to sit down on the couch as I sit in he recliner.

"I haven't been there for a while, I've been sick. But Alex has, and she told me about the new girl that was hanging out with the popular kids, and once she showed me a picture of you on Instagram, I knew it was you." I grinned widely which Jacob mirrored.

We talked about school, the guys, and my parents, Alex occasionally spoke but was mostly quiet. They said they needed a place to stay so I offered here. They happily agreed and thanked me. Soon it was ten o'clock, and they said they were tied from the trip, so my mom let them sleep in the guest room.

I walk up the stairs and open my bedroom door to see Kiley laying on the bed, playing on her phone. "We have guests staying here. You know Jacob right?" "No." She replied, "Well,"i continue, "He and his girlfriend will be staying here for a bit."

She puts her phone down and says, "I'm going to bed. I'm getting up early in the morning to curl my hair." "To look good for suga?" I mock. "No! And shut up! I know your going on a date with V tomorrow." She says defensively.

I blush and playfully punch her arm, she lays down before saying, "Min doesn't die by the way." I pick up my pillow and hit her with it saying, "What is wrong with you?! You ruined the episode!"

She laughs and closes her eyes, I climb into bed and also quickly fall asleep.
