Young Justice: Wonder and Super

Denial

Denial: 

Dick and I get to hangout all day and all night! Our dads have some business to attend to. Bruce Wayne needs to go to another country to give a speech. And Clark Kent gets to go there because of his job. He works at The Daily Planet News in Metropolis. My mom works there too so she is also going. It just me, Dick, and Alfred in Wayne Manor. If that doesn't scream 'chaos' I don't know what does. Dick and I could have gone to the cave but we haven't hung out together in a long time. Missions don't count. As of right now, were sitting on the couch in the game room in the manor. "So... Whatcha wanna do?" Dick asked sitting criss-cross on the couch. I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know. We could play video games, go get ice cream, play soccer.... I don't know." I say naming random stuff. "How 'bout we finish that unfinished game of soccer?" Dick asked smirking. I sat up from laying down, "You mean the one where we played for 3 hours and it was a tie?" I ask raising an eyebrow. "Yeah! Except if Alfred hasn't called us in, it wouldn't have been a tie. I would have won." Dick said earning a pillow in the face for the last statement. Dick laughed and got off the couch. I did the same and we grabbed a soccer ball and headed outside. 

2 Hours Later

"All right now, come inside for supper." Alfred called. He watched the two thirteen year olds try and score on each other. Not succeeding. "Aw come on Alfred! Please I need to win!" Dick said. "Ha! Yeah right! I will win!" Audrey said. "Well, we clearly know who would have won anyway!" Dick said. "I won before we got on the field!" Audrey says. "No, I would have won, your just too short to know that!" Dick countered. They both started walking up the back steps. "That doesn't even make sense! We're the same height!" Audrey said. Alfred shook his head and opened the door wider for the two to go inside. "I think it is a tie." Alfred said silencing the matter. The two teens got the message and started talking about grades. As they ate dinner, "Hey Alfred, can Audrey and I patrol Gotham tonight? We won't do fighting or anything, we'll just observe." Dick said. Alfred said yes only because he didn't want the two giving him puppy dog eyes any longer. "Yes!" The two said high fiving. 

After dinner, the two suited up in their costumes and went out into the night in Gotham city. Robin ran along the roof tops while Supergirl flew right beside him. He flipped off buildings only to grapple onto another one. Supergirl just flew. They may or may not have stopped two petty thieves and left them for the cops. They were easy though, and they didn't even get a scratch. They patrolled more and were about to go back to the manor when they saw Lex Luthor enter a warehouse. What was Luthor doing in Gotham? Robin and Supergirl give each other a look. They both discreetly followed and snuck into the warehouse. They hid up in the rafters and stayed quiet, watching the scene below. "Are you sure no one noticed you stole that piece from Wayne-Tech?" Luthor asked calmly. "Quite sure. They have so many, they wouldn't notice." The lackey said. "Good. That piece is crucial to keep the weapon from falling apart." Luthor said. What weapon? I wondered. "Now what exactly does this weapon do?" The head lackey asked. Luthor smirked and pulled out a huge gun looking type thing. The tip glowed green inside. "This gun has concentrated Kryptonite mixed with a laser beam. It has the power to take a kryptonian's power, but not kill them. I intend to use it on Superman and Supergirl." Luthor said. Robin and I exchanged worried glances. Lose my powers? Robin gave me a look that said, 'Lets get out of here.' We quickly flipped down and ran out without being noticed. Once we were a safe distance away, we stopped. Our hearts racing. "What did we just see?" I asked. "Something bad." Robin replied grimly. 

Robin and I decided to keep our newly found information to ourselves. Until our fathers got home at least. Which we found out from Alfred, that they will be away for two more days. We put the info behind us and watched a movie. Being the dorks we are, we didn't just watch the movie, we acted it out. "I know not who you are, or how I came to find you, but may I just say.... Hi!" Robin said acting as Flynn Rider while Audrey was Rapunzel. They knew the movie by heart for it was both their favorite. They acted every bit out, danced, made weird faces, but then Flynn and Rapunzel got close. Dick and Audrey looked at eachother, Dick smiled and so did Audrey. They both moved closer to each other. They both stared into each others eyes, the movie forgotten. They then realized what just happened, quickly pulled away, and they started laughing. "Our dads would have killed us if they saw us just now!" Dick said. "Yeah, plus were only thirteen!" Audrey said. The two stopped laughing and looked at each other. "Nothing has changed, we're still the best of friends!" Dick said. "Best friends!" Audrey said. "Maybe when we're older." Dick said. "Yeah." Audrey said. "Come on, lets finish our movie. We are acting it out after all!" Dick said. 

They both fell asleep before the movie ended. It was now 2 in the morning. Alfred came in and found them both on the couch with the ending credits of Tangled playing. Alfred smiled and shook his head. He grabbed two blankets, and laid one over each of them. Alfred turned off the tv, and shut the door quietly as he left. 

Bruce and Clark walked into the manor at about 10:30. The two thirteen year olds were playing a video game. "Hey, did you guys have fun?" Clark asked. The two paused their game and started telling about what they did. "We played soccer, and we tied!" "I would've won." "No way! You would not have!" "We acted out a movie." "Went on patrol---" the two gasped and pushed their fathers to the entrance of the BatCave. "We have bad news." Dick said. The two adults exchanged worried looks. 

They were all down in the BatCave  and Dick told the story, "We were out patrolling, we told Alfred we wouldn't do any fighting, anyway, we saw Lex Luthor go into a warehouse." Bruce and Clark frowned at the name. "We followed him in and hid so they wouldn't see us. Luthor asked his lackey if he'd stolen the 'needed' part from Wayne-Tech. The guy said yes and asked what the weapon was for. It has the ability to permanently take away a kryptonian's powers. Luthor is targeting Superman and Supergirl." Dick finished. Bruce and Clark both looked angry at what Luthor was doing. Audrey and Dick were frowning. "Thank you for that information." Clark said. He grabbed Audrey's shoulders and steered her towards the zeta tube. "You aren't leaving the house unless you have a mission." Clark said. "What?! Dad!" Audrey looked back at Dick with 'help' written on her face. Dick wanted to help but Bruce sent him a look saying 'don't interfere'. "Recognized Superman 01, Supergirl B02." And the two Zeta'd out if the BatCave. Dick frowned, he probably won't see her for a while. Not until a mission rolled around. 

Audrey's House:
"Dad what the heck!?" Audrey exclaimed. "I don't want Luthor taking your powers." He said. "But he could take yours too." I say. Dad didn't say anything. "I care more about your health than mine." Dad said. "Your health is important too though." I say. We were in civilian clothes. Dad took his glasses off and put them in his front shirt pocket. "You know I am only doing this to protect you." Dad said. Audrey gave her dad a hug. "I know." Audrey said quietly. Dad kissed my forehead. "Now, run up to your room. You have school on Monday, and I know you and Dick didn't do homework." Dad said. I nodded and went upstairs to my room. Ok, Pythagorean Theorem, worse than Kryptonite. Actually, nothing is worse than Kryptonite, but you get what I mean. As I was doing homework my thought kept going back to Dick. He's always there for me. He's my best friend. He was so fun, quirky, friendly, cute... Do I like him? His smile, laugh, his eyes. His blue eyes.... I think I like him. I can't deny it now. I have a huge crush on Richard Grayson. The Boy Wonder. 

Hi! So I did something different than what most people do. In the actual tv show, Kid Flash says Robin is in Gotham, so I have Supergirl there too. Comment, Favourite, Follow! Stay Whelmed!! Next chapter is Downtime!
